Big question: Zen or Alto ??

Hi,

I have just join this forum and this is my first post. Till now I had been lurking on this forum quite often .

I stay in Pune and looking for buying a new Alto Lx or Zen Lx. After Dealer's discount scheme I am getting both the cars at exactly same price and hence the confusion.

As I am getting Alto Lx and Zen Lx at same price, which one would you suggest...

welcome.........

hi ping,

i know that the word ping has to do some with ur computer thingy

anyways i would easily suggest a Zen coz its a more powerful car than the alto and more spacious all i would say is check it coz a zen Lx is a old thing so check what year it is as compared to the alto

but other than that a zen is a steal at the same price of a alto

check the pros and cons of buying the 2 before you make your decision bro

welcome to the gang

in that case dont think twice i would suggest a zen upfront

the new zen is nt that good on looks as compared to the old one but its an excellent engine and the interiors are slightly better than the old one forget the alto

so hit it is what i would say

p.s i have 2 cars in the family one old zen which i drive and one is a new zen which my mother uses so......

Waiver of registration & insurance charges in Zen getting you to the price of Alto. PLEASE CHECK. In Chennai there is a difference of 30K. Ex-showroom price of Zen is 3.36 L, cost of registration & insurance is 38K. It's 2.75L & 32 K in the case of Alto.

If you can manage to get zen at the cost of Alto, NO SECOND THOUGHTS, ZEN IS SUPERIOR. No need for any proof's here (Maruti pricing itself had shown you this). Alto is one of the fast moving one for Maruthi, hence they would have refused you to give any discount on that. There are competitors for ZEN like Santro, INDICA ECT

Moderators: In one of my previous post, I had requested for spell check facility. It would be helpful, if I was informed where to post the feedbacks of the site

It sounds fishy. Check twice before you go ahead. There was large difference in Alto Lx and Zen Lx pricing. (Can not bridge even after waiving off RTO + insurance). Check check check!!!

In this case, zen is costlier by 7K approximately, even if the insurance and Registration charges are waived for Zen.

Alto LXi is power steering & Zen LX is manual steering. As informed earlier Zen is a 1000 cc & Alto is a 800 cc.

I guess the manufacturer seating recommendation in zen is 5 (1+4) & for Alto is 4 (1+3).

Even in this case, I vote for ZEN.
