Rattling is Maruti's baby. All hatch backs from Maruti have this common problem of rattling. Be in Wagon R, Swift, Alto, 800, A Star, Ritz, all have this problem.

Personally have experienced it on Wagon R, Alto and Swift VDi. No doubt, Maruti has the largest service network, but the problem with rattling remains forever.

On the other hand A Star has the latest in class engine technology and is unbeatable. So, you may go ahead with A-Star.

It's been about 5 months, but no rattles on my son's A-star. Considering the A-Star is being exported in large numbers, I would think lesser chances of rattles!

so what did you do, go for the ritz petrol over the a-star. The Dzire is in the next segement and if you dont require a boot dont go for it.
