Vecto Motors [of Prerana Motors] is the new FIAT exclusive dealership in Bangalore. It was inaugurated today by Enrico Atanasio, Managing Director, FIAT Group India Automobiles Private Limited. Ravi Bhatia and Marius D'Lima of FIAT India also participated.

I participated in the inaugural function. During the interactive question & answer session, Enrico confirmed re-launching Linea T-Jet by April 2013 with localised parts in order to keep the cost less. Abarth brand will be launched by this year, but no kits for the existing Puntos atleast initially. A new call centre will be functional from April 2013; FIAT will be interacting with the customers directly.

Finally some thing does happen on the Fiat front ! Is the showroom on Hosur road? In one of the snaps I see the BETL road.

It was a fun filled event, i was invited by Srihari SV ( Lukeskywalker ) and asked to display the topolino to make the event more special. Since the car was with me for its yearly service, i drove it all the way from my house to Electronic city ( 46 kms from my place) As usual the car drove fantastic, and some more miles on it in the name of Road testing.

About the Dealership, Sales , Service and Spares under one roof and what an amazing facility these guys have set-up. I am aware of the amazing service i receive by Prerana and this being their branch i know they will be the Best as usual, i wish them all the best in their endevours.

Mr Enrico Atanasia was thrilled seeing the Fiat Topolino and infact waited to congratulate me, and that was a biggest joy for me

I have my Fiat Punto due for servicing @ 15000 kms. Are Vecto Motors doing the servicing of Fiat Punto 1.3 MJD vehicles? Please respond as I need to service my vehicle in this week.

@MSVG: They have not yet started the service center. IIRC, they said the service center will be operational in another 2 weeks’ time.

While going from Silk Board, I took right turn at the traffic signal at Kudlu junction below the elevated road after pillar number 73, and again, left turn at the service road to reach Vecto Motors, which is located about 1.5 km after entering the service road. The co-ordinates are:

I am clueless about co ordinates.

That sounds like the same place I used to take a U Turn to head to Prerana.

Yes. You have to drive towards Electronics City on the service road and Vecto Motors is situated on the RHS.

Thank you J.Ravi sir for putting up the pictures. I too wanted to attend the function but got held up somewhere. Hopefully the separation from Tata will spur Fiat to provide a better service experience than before (not that I've had a bad experience before).

Btw, is the service facility at the same location? and is it open now?

Just googled up the strange slogan 'you are, we car' which i saw in the showroom pictures and came up with this :-

It was devised (For the launch of its new retro-styled 500 in 2007) by an agency called 515 Creative Shop in Turin, and is used, in English, across Europe. But what does it mean? The verb 'to be' normally requires a predicate: 'you are Italian', say. Standing alone, it becomes an existential statement: you just 'are', in some kind of undefined, unrestricted way. According to Fiat, 'you are' expresses its customers' individuality. As for the second half, it's an anthimeria, the turning of one part of speech into another. There is no verb 'to car', but there is no reason why there shouldn't be: we all use the verb 'to phone', for instance. For Fiat, 'we car' is an economical way of saying 'cars are what we do'. So, you get on with being you, Fiat will get on with making cars. The comma and the rhyme tie the two together: annoying but strangely memorable. An alternative explanation, that 'we car' is a pun on 'wee car', can probably be discounted.

Still does not make sense to me :-( hope it makes sense to Indian customers when Fiat interacts with them directly.
