Torrent Nissan confirmed no longer an Nissan authorized dealer as per the news lipping appearing in Times of India Mumbai. The way the dealerships are closing spells a gloomy future for the auto industry (Maruti's, Hyundai's being an exception)

Same story is in Delhi NCR. I bought my Sunny from SKY Nissan which was located in Moti Nagar, an area which houses all the car brands from Maruti to BMW and now even Volvo. And its just a km away from my house. But due to the dismal sales, they closed down and ever since I have been hunting for a proper service centre. I was forced to send my car to three different dealerships, across Noida and Gurgaon. Finally now another dealership has dared to set foot in Moti Nagar and I am just waiting for the extended warranty to get over before shifting to a FNG.

A new Nissan dealership has opened up near Deonar Depot on Sion - Trombay road, Mumbai. And their service centre is nearby too.

Seems like the Nissan dealership numbers are coming back!
