Unconfirmed rumour:

New expat Director has uprooted almost the entire old team, even newly hired marketing head from Puma. Many have left and some are serving notice period - it was a small team in India with each department having 2-3 staff.

Rumours - chances are they will relocate the office to Middle East, their command center, having only handful of service staff in India.

Frankly, if this guy wants to work independently from UAE instead of reporting to Skoda VW India, this maybe a good news for Porsche buyers in India.

I remember, when Porsche had a track event at BIC last time, all the arrangements were done by UAE team which seems to have a decent size.

Skoda- VW India can’t do justice to this brand and it maybe a good riddance to work independently. They could have used Audi but it appears HQ is not keen to allow such working.

Given the way how technology has evolved and preferences of communication and collaboration changed after COVID, they can work from a distant location like UAE. Having mediocre staff in India vs Specialist in UAE can work for low volumes.
