Shaman Auto, Prabhadevi, MUMBAI

Hi Guys,

My Indica XETA is due for 2nd service. Does anyone know, how good is Shaman Auto at Prabhadevi in servicing Petrol Indicas?

Quick response would be appreciated.

Thanks,
abdriver2000

Mods please move this thread if it is in an inappropriate location. Thanks.

Well,
we used to service our Palio from them and we service our fiesta from them too.
There have been some good reviews about their Honda dealership but the Ford and Fiat have left a bad taste.
On all the occasions the fiesta has gone for service, it was always returned late and more often than not, they couldn't solve minor problems, something which we were forced to do.
Even when servicing the Palio, sometimes it was returned without even a wash and hence we stopped servicing the Palio from them.

Guys,

Thanks for your comments. Do you know how good their TATA service is? Especially for Petrol Indicas?

Do you have a good contact in there?

On Sunday? Are they open then? I was under the impression that they are generally closed - you will be going to the Cotton green place right?

I went to Shaman Auto this morning. The place is wedged right between 2 slums near Sewri. They took the car into the service area and then told me to come after 2 days. The reason: we are having only 3 cars for service today, and our mechanics don't feel like coming today.

I asked them for a complaint book and they said it would be better if you speak to management when you come back tomorrow.

I was disgusted. It was the second time in a row that TATA provided excellent non-service.

Stranded on a Sunday, I decided to take a chance and called up a few other places.

Cadell Auto Service at Shivaji Park agree to take my car without an appointment. When I reached there, they had a few cars on the ramp. I had to wait for few minutes and then my car was taken in. The oil and filter was changed. They have a policy of changing everything in front of the customer.
Air filter was cleaned. PUC was done. Spray wash and the car was ready to roll.

All this in less than 90 minutes. No frills service. The bill was 802. They did not try and sell me a million items. And I was with the car throughout.

I dont think there's any point going to SHAMAN on a sunday as they have only 2-3 service advisors coming and their staff is also not there in full strength. So if you have any problem in addition to the routine servicing, they will say their staff isnt there.

The location of the service centre is horrible. You always have the fear of hitting the small children roaming freely on the one lane road. This is their 3rd location. The were first @ worli, then lalbaug and now Sewree.

But all said and done, they are one of the most experienced people in servicing FIAT's in bombay. Have been getting my car serviced from them right from the beginning and havent had too many problems. The only thing affecting their quality I feel is the increasing load. I just hope they maintain their quality of service. Ive beeen going there for 3 years now and hence know the people there. But I feel that if we know the people @ the service centre, it always helps.

The contact nos for SHAMAN:

SHAMAN AUTO
Nr Amar Wire Rolling Mill, Sewree Cross Road, Off R A Kidwai Rd, Sewree(W), Mumbai-400 015

Tel# 24135252 ; 24 hr helpline - 9820355228

My experience At Shaman has been good. I get Palio serviced at Shaman. They have given calls in past when the servicing was due. They have pick up and drop facility from Prabhadevi showroom, so no need to go directly to Cotton green.

Ditto at this end. I had a very pleasant experience at Shaman when I gave them my Indigo for the 1st service. They also replaced the front left headlight (fogged) with no questions asked.

Cadell auto is a petrol pump. I dont think my Indigo would be going there for services anytime soon.

Sorry for the delayed response. Cadell Auto is a TASP and not a TASC. But I would prefer to go to a place which treats customer with care. If Shaman were overloaded or had little staff, they could have refused me an appointment instead of trying to bite off more than they could chew.

I will be going for my third service soon to Cadell.

Shaman has now gone bankrupt. And shut its showrooms. Don't know about the service centres, but yea, the Shaman showroom has been replaced by Downtown Volkswagen.
I really don't know why, but these dealerships keep changing their locations, or worse, just keep shutting down. Fishy!
