Re: Which dealer for Honda in Bangalore- Dakshin or Whitefield Honda

Was Saphire asked to stop their service center? I heard something along that lines, that they were asked to shut down the service center because of the Bellandur lake pollution issue..

Whitefield Honda Service (Honda Civic)

Dear Team,

Firstly, a Happy Diwali and a Prosperous New Year to all the members.

Request:
Anyone who has contact(s) in(Manager or Management) Whitefield Honda, kindly please pm their details.

Reason:
I have a Honda Civic(2010), ~32000 kms driven.
I find Blr traffic to be a deterrent(callous nature) to drive any nice car
Hence sparingly used by parents (average < 1000 kms per year).
Always serviced at Whitefield Honda.
Last serviced : Jan 2018. Drove home just after service and realized that
a) armrest box was damaged. The pin/spring which holds it down, was broken. They used glue-tape fix/hold the armrest in its place.
b) rear sensor was not responding properly/sensing corrupted.
Called the Service center/Representative and apprised him of both issues.
His response:
a) will take care of the armrest pin next time in service.
b) pls wait for the water to dry and sensor would work.

I didn't question much and agreed to wait until next service for it to be taken care.

Hardly driven ~200 kms in last 11 months. Every time the sensor was used, it didn't work. I didn't pay much attention as frequency of reversing and using sensor has been meager/countable.

Dropped the car for service on 7th Nov 2018.
Talked to the same Service Representative and asked him to take care of both.

Now he says, the sensor is damaged due to usage and replacement would cost 2k.
Armrest box spring is another story.

Any thoughts/suggestions on resolving this is much appreciated.
(starting now for the service center to pick the car and ..)

thanks and regards,
Arvind
