Re: Concorde motors - Bangalore

The first service experience was a nightmare the moment I reached Concorde motors in Bangalore. I felt like a cab driver for the first time. Just another Call Taxi. The service experience was bad too. I had to take the call on dropping my expectation levels again. The worst experience of service came much later, when I had to wait for a good one hour at the quick service bay, to get my coolant filled. That too was done after escalating to all levels. I said good bye to Concorde, and ever since my car is been serviced by a private service centre, and I'm more than happy with it.

Palio 1.9 D issue with Concorde motors bangalore

Hi Guys,

This is regarding a break down issue which I faced with my friends car. This car is run
70K KM. Few weeks back, it broke down suddenly while his wife was driving it.

Engine temperature rose and there was oil light blinking. I was sure it was due to coolant problem. We called the concorde motors breakdown service no and the person attended after 1 hour. The distance between the service center and the place it broke down was just 3 KM on stretch. Well he looked at it and said it had to be taken to the service station. And the tow guy came after 4 hours to tow it to the service station.

I then went to the service station to find out what was the problem. The service executive
said, "The engine has over heated and coolant is boiling when refilled. Oil is full yet there
a low oil warning. He said the engine is gone and needs full repair which will cost 1L.
Yes, he quoted 1,00,000 INR."

I asked him to recheck the coolant and oil. I requested multiple times to take a day time
and check. The problem might really not be with the engine. He said he verified and
the problem is with the engine only. Once they open it, there is no reduction in cost and
will sure be nothing less than 1L. And the time for repair will be not less than 45 days.
My friend was in US and I was handling this on his behalf. I spoke to him and decided
to tow back the car to our residence and take a call later.

After a week, he returned from US and got it serviced through another authorized fiat service station and the bill is 2500/- only. He got the car in 1 days time.

Problem: coolant was leaking
Oil was empty.

This came as shock to all of us. 1,00,000 to 2500. Every time I drive his vehicle today, I
feel horrified by the incident from the concorde motors. This is really a serious issue and
we are taking all that we can to make people aware of how service guys can fool customers. I would not have felt this way if the difference was in few thousands..

1L to 2500.

I called the service manager of concorde and informed him about the false and miss leading advice from his executive. No action so far.

My friend has written to FIAT india, he is still waiting for a response from them on this.

Guys, please know your vehicle and trust your knowledge and not the service executives. They take you for a ride. I happen to hear same incident from another customer from concorde motors for their PUNTO. Its high time FIAT looks at their authorized service centers.

If any one knows any other way of escalating this issue, please let me know. This will
really help from people getting fooled by some lazy service executives.

From this experience I can tell you guys with no doubt. DONT BUY FIAT and DONT go
to concorde motors for service.

Cheers,
Vadi

Do you suggest to go to Prerana Motors ( which is next to the Concorde Motors) as a better place to service Fiats ?

Re: Concorde motors - Bangalore

Hi All

Bumping up this thread.
Just wanted to give my opinion of Concorde motors Kudlu gate and get some advice.

I have been giving my Palio Stile 1.6 sport (2009) here from the first service. I have tried giving it to other places for small issues but the approach of the mechanic never inspired much confidence

The good part is the mechanics are pretty knowledgeable. If they say that they have fixed the issue it is always fixed (in my experience). Any mechanical or electrical issues I have had they have been able to pin point the issue and correct it.

The issue is They generally don’t even look at minor issues (Rattles, clutch is hard etc.). They generally give some excuse and say it is pending. They are reluctant to put it in the Job card. Even if you force them put it, they mark it as fixed and give some reason like “sir this is common in all palio vehicles”
If you got to them for any denting or painting work the SA directly tells you that it will take 1 week and it is better to do it outside.

They never order parts properly. If you need parts on time you need to get the order number from them, follow up with fiat, go to the spare parts manager and sit on his head, call him every day. Then he will somehow source the part for you. This has been my experience with Fiat Parts in all of the A.S.S. So cannot blame Concorde for this

The end result is I am forced to live with a few rattles and minor issues. My car is due for denting and painting as well but cannot go to concorde for this as i canot leave the vehicle there for 1 week .
Could anyone suggest a place where they take their FIAT for servicing where they get all the major and minor issues sorted out @ the same place.
If not then is there a place where I could get good denting and painting done in bangalore.

I am in the same boat. You could try to talk to one Dayanand from Concorde Silk board (old Green Tracks). His work has been the most satisfactory till date on my Palio. Meet him a day in advance and tell him specifically what you are looking for. Also, tell him you are ready to wait for more time, but need work done. There were couple of pending issues on my car post day1. He said it needs time to fix and they have lot of rush. I told him the problems need to be fixed, take your time. Once you give them time they do the job. (Dont ever get your car washed there, please ask them not to in the job card).

For denting, Sai Colorium JP Nagar is highly recommended. I havent used them myself but know very happy customers. I intend to visit them next month.

Hi Lohit

I have heard that Concorde gives a preferential treatment to Safari owners. I guess that could be the reason for this Not sure though

Re: Concorde motors - Bangalore

If you own a fiat and need Fiat spares, Concorde is the best bet. I have tried Prerana, Green Tracks, Bosch in the last 5 years.

Hey

I got a scheduled sercice with concorde motors. Spoke to Vijay the day before. he asked me to reach the center early. He listened to all my issues took a TD and added a few more of his own. he told me that he wouuld let me know by when w could collect the vehicle. Called me in the evening and said I could collect the car. Been driving it all day yesterday and today. all the rattles are fixed and all my problems are dorted out.

He politely asked me to leave the vehicle with them when i was going out of town for the denting and painting work and they would get it done in 4 to 5 days. I may not go there for the denting and painting but i liked his honest and polite way of dealing. He also told me that he is the person who generally looks at Fiat vehicles. donno why i never met him before.

Thanks a lot for the tip

P.S @ lohithrao: I didnt notice you owned a Fiat adventure and were giving your opnion in your fiat experience with Concorde.

+1, totally agree with this post.
I've been going to concorde for the last 4 years. This is the best place IMO for Palios, the technicians are knowledgeable about Palio and the quality of servicing is spot on, common parts are almost always available.

I was wondering which is the best place in Bangalore to get painting done, where they will ensure good paint matching ?

Re: Concorde motors - Bangalore

Hi all,

I own a Punto 1.3 MJD. I have been giving my car to Concorde, Diary Circle and this time tried to give in Concorde, Silk Board (Old Green Tracks). I am not very happy with the approach taken by the SA and not very convincing in his diagnosis. For every problem I mentioned, he suggested a part replacement. It is possible that its the only way, but I felt a deep thought was not put.

Whats your opinion on Bosch Service Center for Fiat cars? How good are they with servicing? Spares?

There is a new Bosch Service Center (Sri Sai Automotives) in JP Nagar and have gone there a couple of times for a car Wash. Found them very methodical and cordial. Anybody has a first hand review?

Thanks,
Naveen

Re: Concorde motors - Bangalore

BHPians, after a long period of time I have experienced a better service at Concorde Motors, Dairy Circle. I had to go for a long trip before which I had to service Vista TDI at 30,000 KM. The service done was great and most of the niggles were sorted out after the service.

As the extended warranty was over, Mr. Rathish and Vinay from Concorde/Tata Motors offered an AMC at 40K, 50K. This is from Tata Motors directly and they charge for two consecutive services. It is up to the customer to select the number of AMCs for the respective intervals. I got it done for 40K Km and 50K Km, this included all the fluids. As per my calculations it saves some additional taxes and other charges, some amount saved here. This helped me as it covered the defined oils, oil filter and coolant replacements. It covered all the work carried during 40K and 50K Km intervals defined by Tata Motors.

Some discussion popped up, Service Advisor told me he won't change the coolant as it was done at an early stage. When discussed, I told him that this has already been paid, he has to replace the coolant.

Since you pay them in advance, they have to go as per the booklet, this goes into their main server system log book. I could see the whole history they have and the service logs that were carried on my vehicle.

This was just an experiment I have done but the overall experience and outcome is great, the vehicle runs properly. As we know Tata vehicles are heavy, they need proper and timely maintenance. If you tame the beast, it won’t let you down.

Re: Concorde motors - Bangalore

Did not see this info posted. Concorde motors has opened a new showroom on the Outer Ring Road. Right opposite Prestige Tech Park Kadubeesanahalli (Near Marathahalli).

It is a small showroom. Looks more like a satellite showroom. Noticed a couple of TD Zest's parked outside.

Word of Advice: Interested in an Automatic and want to see how feels in traffic? head to this showroom at 4.30pm and TD the Zest AMT. A 4 km TD at this time can take a cool 1-1.5 hours.

Re: Concorde motors - Bangalore

Dont know what the actual matter is but Concorde Dairy Circle is careless with customers. Got all accessories for my nexon from them including car cover, which I asked to place in my boot. After going home I see it's got holes and tears all over. Was fuming as it means a long trip back. Think they're ruining Tata's reputation by doing this!
