Requesting info from all Baleno Owners

Hi All,

I have seen many people on this site who feel proud to be a baleno owner.I have heard that it is true performance car. Carrying a engine of awesome power 1.6L to be precise i would like to know what average does it give. It would be very helpful for me as i am planning to go for a baleno lxi.
Does baleno require a tyre change to a broader wheelbase.

Regards,
Turbofreak

I have generally got 11.5-14 (median around 12) kmpl in Hyderabad City driving (have 185/65 R 14 tyres on my Lxi) and in the same range on highway... I guess if driven with a light foot, you can probably get 15-17 kmpl too...

Hey, I wonder why u got such a low figure on a highway like that ?? I know its a straight stretch and u probably did it foot down but in 5th gear -- theres not too much down shifting that will be required on that stretch and as long as u don't shift too much -- I don't think it shud give that low a mileage !!! Atleast I don't think so ...

Cheers

I have managed 12 in WagonR on the highway... so 10 for baleno should be fine. There was no downshifting involved... just drove between.. 125-135

12 in the city with AC 100 % of the time and 14 on highway again 100 % AC.and if your refering to thinkness of tyres ?? then yeah you have to get a broader tyre 185/195 if your looking for performance !!

Highway speeds over 4000rpm any given moment. City never above 2000rpm.
