Coming to the point, the exciting new 911 with it's 2 variants Carrera and Carrera S is available for order at all dealerships starting today, while the shape is typical 911, this time the car has undergone a major increase in wheelbase at 100 mm and a lower height with a wider track which gives the car wonderful proportions, almost perfect in my words,

The Carrera is priced at 96,97,000 INR/- Ex-Showroom New Delhi and is powered by a 3.4 liter boxer engine with 350 PS (257 kW / 345 bhp) with a 0-100 time of 4.6 seconds with the PDK but is reduced by .2 with the Sport Plus function in the optional Sport Chrono package.

The Carrera S is priced at 1,13,37,000 INR/- Ex-Showroom New Delhi and is powered by a 3.8 liter with 400 PS (294 kW / 394 bhp) with a 0-100 time of 4.3 seconds with the PDK but is reduced by .2 with the Sport Plus function in the optional Sport Chrono package.


The cars will be delivered only by March/April 2012, but if you prefer to customize the options are endless as with any Porsche who have always taken great pride in their in car customizations which have endless possibilities. Expect the entire range to come in over the next 30 months, but until then do enjoy this, it's the perfect new 911!

unless S350L is working for TopGear , no chances of getting test drives anytime soon This is indeed a news , I was in opening of Porsche center at Chandigarh 2 Days back and they were mum on this - maybe they have enough in stocks , definitely a useful information for someone who is considering purchase in this segment ...

Sorry but does that even remotely look like an ad to you? I mean most news I have posted are from various manufacturers and almost all get copied by other blogs / sites from here, so I can assure you this is first of it's kind and the reason I put this up is very few people until few weeks will know about this launch and pre-orders.

Internationally also the car is to be launched at the frankfurt auto show in mid September, and deliveries will begin during the christmas season and of course Spring / Summer 2012 for India. I think we should all be proud of posts like this not because they come from me but various other members here post information which even the best Indian Journalists do not get correctly,

Test drives at this time are not possible, internationally also only a few have got a preview using camouflaged cars so do wait for few weeks as they come in I will try update this thread.

Did not post pictures as it made more sense to post the direct link to Porsche India official page where you can have all your desires fulfilled.

Showroom has been done good , on same patterns of Delhi and elsewhere , sorry I normally don't take photos's just enjoy the present whatever wherever comes .

they had most of models including a loaded Cayenne Turbo @ over Rs 1,25 besides regular 911 - Carrera , Boxter , Panamera

Girls at reception were very pretty , drinks & snacks were equally impressive but the cultural show was so - so

Well, although it does look great, in that colour, I don't like the new 911 very much.

It's very unlike a 911. The rear-end isn't wide, and low and doesn't squat onto the ground like a 911 should. The roof-line isn't raked that much, and it flows seamlessly now. The rear spoiler no longer doubles up as the engine-cover, which is, or rather was, a 911 trait. Instead, there is a small panel that pops up at the back once it goes past a certain speed.

When viewed from the side, the rear doesn't look tail-heavy anymore. The 911 is more cab-forward that before. It's more balanced. It's more Cayman now. The 911 dies a little, with every passing generation.

Porsche begins selling cars through new dealer network in Mum & Del. First 911 delivered in Mum. Owner driving it back home to Pondicherry!

The showroom at Peddar road is no longer the official showroom. The new dealer is yet to open a showroom in Prabhadevi, apparently the largest in Asia with 12,000sq.ft of place.

Are they opening a showroom at Cnergy, Prabhadevi? Had read in the Economic Times a few months back that they were looking at this place to open a showroom.
