Mercedes MB 100 from Banglore

Spotted this crazy vehicle earlier today afternoon. Could easily transport our beloved m800 in this vehicle.

Sure some of the veterans will be able to name this one.
Mods feel free to alter the subject title once the gaadi has been identified!

Cheers

Isn't that the MB 100/120 van? Made in Korea by Ssangyong or some such company. Horrid quality, even by MB's low standards...Can pick these up ultra-cheap, for like 4 lakhs, if you can find them.

Pic is rather unclear, I hope it's not a Vaneo or V-class, in which case there's a lot of egg on my face right about now.

I think this might be the Merc M class (??) if the number adds upto 9 then the van belongs to jaffer sherriff .. I remember seeing his son get one of these to college ..

Mods : Its ok to mention his name, this car has been shown in a few magazine articles , newspapers etc with his son posing during the election campaigns etc ..

This is by no standards a supercar. Fardeen Khan has one of these, done up pretty nicely inside I hear. DC modifies them into moving offices. It was available in India for quite some time

MB100 or 140. DC used to modify them from 1999-2001. Probably still does, heaven knows. Not the greatest vehicle, and was valued at around Rs. 15-17 lakh when launched in 1997, if I'm not mistaken.

Topic moved to The Indian Car Scene. Mercedes MB 100 was legally sold in India thus its not an import.

DC did one of the most killler interior jobs to that van. Have to give it to him for interior mods-top notch!

This guy has two of the same vans, its an MB140 thing. Has spent a bomb for the interior. Has 4 King size ROLLE ROYCE PHANTOM seats inside, LCD / Plasma screens, Indirect lighting, voice recognition system, Bluetooth enabled connectivity, Banng and Olufsen music system.B4 package..footrails coming from underneth once the door is opened..etc etc
The other van is stretched further...he also has a BMW 5 series, MB E320..

Definitely an MB 100 or 140- Leela has a couple of these for their guests and one trip in the damn thing makes u wonder what were MB thinking lendng their name to this piece of crap. I mean, the safari has better interior quality than this. It squeaks and rattles all over the place.

It has been replaced by the Viano/Vanio (Not sure of the speling!!).
