I guess you can have a bus turn in a 10.2m radius.

Really? I wasnt aware of that, comes as a bit of a surprise, even though it sounds pretty logical....that car is as small (if not smaller) then an autorickshaw.

Incidentally, I remember one of the Tempo (Force motors now) Traveller ads in the 90s advertising its turning radius as 5m, which is quite good for a vehicle its size IMHO!

For the Laura, the official turning radius is 5.425 M, not bad considering the car is 4.572 M long. It must be about the same for the Octy (you can check your owners manual).

On checking this thread, I realised how misleading figures can be. A Palio which has a 5.1 M turning radius on paper does not turn where a Laura with a 5.42 M radius on paper can!

Cheers,

as mentioned by others .. the palio has pathetic turning radius.
i have to some times take the path taken by big busses for turning the car in a u turn!!
and in bangalore they have made provisions for taking u turns very very narrow. Its hell for palio owners/

Yes I had the Matiz and it had a very small turning radius. Gave me sterling service of nearly 10 years. Did not breakdown on road even once in covering more than 1 lac kms. More reliable than Mercedes and other German / premium brands.

My Altis also has a very small turning radius for a car of its size.

+1 to that. I've driven one briefly and its a dream going around in circles where other cars needed a 3 point turn.

It's longer than a M800, then why it's having a smaller turning radius ?
