Mahindra testing the Base Variant of Scorpio 4WD Automatic

Can't they be just testing a new transmission on the basic variant? VLX already comes with a 4WD-AT combo IIRC.

Just found something interesting:

It says M&M has launched a new Scorpio SLE 4X4 variant "without much fanfare..." and it is "priced at Rs 10.7 lakhs"

But it is yet to show up on the Scorpio website.
