Re: Honda removes Jazz and Civic from its website

Precisely. The civic is just a breathtaking Car. And it still makes sense if your running is less than 1500 odd kms a month. I drive double that but hell I'm sticking with it for another 4 years atleast. By the time Honda might launch a new version civic or they might launch this

Re: Honda removes Jazz and Civic from its website

@coolkurt; I am sure it is. First they want to test the Diesel market with the Amaze. Then it should spread to the Brio & Jazz. It will be uprated for the City (AANHC??) nd then show up in the 1.6 avatar in the Civic and CR-V.

Re: Honda removes Jazz and Civic from its website

That means it's hard to see it launch before 2015

Re: Honda removes Jazz and Civic from its website

This is slightly OT, but Honda, surely is not among the best of its days in India. This time caught on the wrong foot (prima facie) by The Central Board of Excise & Customs/ CBEC on excise duty evasion on back of offering discounts on Brio & Jazz. The blow may amount to a whopping Rs. 164 crores!

Damn! I was hoping to see the New civic next year in a diesel avatar. I guess I'll stick to my 2007 civic for now.

It means tat we ill get the Crider, which will be launched in China before India. i believe similar happened in case of ANHC as well. This is a good strategy, considering price overlap between the City & Amaze variant prices, in present case. This also helps the brand City, which moves up the pedestal automatically.

Re: Honda removes Jazz and Civic from its website

The crider looks repulsive. Too many lines...makes it look like a Hyundai. I guess Honda will have to down it down a bit if they ever plan to launch it in India.
Not launching the civic in India is going to be a mistake. It's one of the most recognizable Honda sub brand

Re: Honda removes Jazz and Civic from its website

@All

With the launch of the Octavia and Toyota debuting a new model end of 2014 or in 2015, was it a wrong move by Honda to discontinue the Civic?
The D segment will see renewed interest once these cars are launched. Honda could have launched the petrol variant and come out with the diesel later. The 2013 Civic is setting the sales charts on fire in the U S.
