The dealers are clearing their stock so they have limited models left.
This means the Fusion's resale value is even more a dud now than before. Pity, for what is a well engineered car

How would you compare a palio1.6 to Fusion 1.6

I guess the fusion should be faster and itneriors are better.

rohit,
every ford dealer who has fusions left will be more than willing you to sell them off. just try to bargain a little bit. The NOIDA dealer started with an 80,000 rupees discount. i was there for the ikon so i said not interested. but when he insisted more..i jokingly said 1.2L...and he agreed!! i still say if he have had the fusion in black i would ve booked it then & there only. But since ford has stopped the production of the old model...whatever is left..is up for grabs. I was offered the grey green color which is the most popular..but i insisted on black..which he didn't ve any. After the discount the fusion base model was there @ 5.4 L....which by any sense is a loot!!

You can compare the Fiat Adventure 1.6 with the Fusion 1.6 because of the size.

Both are good cars...
Fusion is quicker than the adventure.
interiors are only slightly better in the fusion.
Adventure can offroad more than the fusion.
Fusion top end comes with ABS, adventure doesn't.
Adventure has more space than the fusion.
Adventure can be yours for 5.99 L OTR fully loaded
Fusion can be yours for 6.5 L OTR fully loaded (extra ABS, Music System, few goodies)
both after discounts in Mumbai

quickdraw - this thread is over 3 years old! But I'm guessing there are still big discounts to be had on the Fusion as it's about to be replaced by the Figo. The lack of airbags is a deal-breaker for me. Isn't it about time airbags became mandatory (like seatbelts)?

Not discontinued

I would beg to differ on the discontinuation bit. An acquaintance bought a Fusion manufactured in November, and it's still up on Ford's site (not that it says much).
It's definitely not been discontinued, but may well be once the Figo is in (i understand the Figo is in a different market segment but still).

Assembly of Fusion has been stopped for the last 2 months. What is being sold is just stock leftover with dealers. So I strongly suggest that if people still want to buy a fusion, please ask for massive discounts from the dealer

If the new given in the title is really correct, I bet its a good price for a wonderful car. Unfortunately for Ford it was launched with wrong price at wrong price. A segment for the likes of it was only created when the indian market was exposed to Fabia and the i20. Otherwise by now it would have surely made better figures than what it did few years back..

Anyway sticking to the point, the price is amazing for this product, if I was looking for a car, I would not bother about whats coming next nor the re-sale value, its more car for a seriour car buyer than a reseller.

Of course only thing to the thought it the Ford's After Sales Service.
