Can somebody please help ? I need this car urgently. Any way I can buy this from another city where it's available. ?
I had booked my VX-CVT in April with delivery promised during October. After reading about the temporary stop in production of the City I wrote to Honda (customer_relations@hondacarindia.com) and received a reply stating that the car would be delivered in October as per commitment. I suggest you do the same before taking any action, especially since you have already waited so long. There is a high demand for the top variants and it is improbable that you will get fast deliveries through any other dealer.

Honda has added a second shift to its Tapukara plant to ensure quicker deliveries of the City.

Re: Honda stalls City production to accomodate Mobilio

I guess it all makes sense why City's production was stalled.
Honda had analyzed that Mobilio's sales would be waning post the initial spurt in demand. They were just trying to sell the maximum of the advanced bookings to avoid the customer to cancel the booking.
However, their calculations went haywire when Ciaz started dispatch.
It is only now that they are reviving their trusted workhorse's production.

I anticipate some very good discounts with the December offers as well as competition increasing the heat!

I doubt if there will be any discounts on the City unless it is really proven that Ciaz is a better product (this being another attempt by MSIL to get into C segment).

If one is looking for discounts, a good wait for next year end is required.
