The 2015 Mumbai International Motor Show is here after 3 previous editions. The event is being held from the 5th-8th of February at the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. The exhibitor list includes players like Honda, Tata, VW and Hyundai, along with luxury brands such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar and even Rolls-Royce. Bikers will be left with their jaws on the carpet, as manufacturers such as Benelli, Hyosung, Triumph and BMW Motorrad are also present.

Volkswagen Pit-Crew Challenge

VW gave visitors the pit crew experience:


Participants had to pull off a full tyre change. All the runs would be timed, and the quickest participants would win VW merchandise:

Technotrove Simulator Zone



The car simulator. This would attract a lot of budding drivers who haven't gotten their license yet. Purpose of these simulators is driver training (not entertainment) - Official Website:

Supposedly built using the chassis of a 2012 S-Class. Oh dear! Cost in the ballpark of ~25 lakhs (plus donor car):

Exactly. The representative at the stall mentioned that the kit costs an additional 21k. I remember reading that this edition is cheaper than the regular variants but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The show itself seems underwhelming..

I had registered for the event, However the dates coincided with some official tour and had to give it a miss. But your pictures and review made up for my loss.

However could you get any details about the Ix25 or even the I20 crossover from the Hyundai guys. I was hoping some information / news would be available on the same at this event.

I made inquiries regarding the same and even about the Genesis. There were mainly dealer officials at the stall, so their knowledge is as limited as ours. One of the managers said most dealers get updates on the car 15 days before the launch/unveil.
