Am a bit confused always thought the freelander was a tier below the evoque which was a tier below the discovery or the LR4.

So what does the discovery sport with evoque like looks in a larger size replace? The LR4/Discovery or the freelancer? Pricing should be accordingly mapped.

I spoke to the sales rep in the morning in Delhi, the PURE variant costs 57 Lakhs On road in Delhi. Its loaded to gills, love all you can ask for features in a compact sized luxury SUV, that enormous sunroof, go mostly anywhere capability, insatiable looking, solidly built, timeless design, this is the one to go for if can afford one someday.

The best part ( as per brochure sent by him ) are the Options made as Standard Equipment on Locally Manufactured Vs CBU

Although the Evoque is better value. This and the Discovery Sport still come with the old Ford derived engines. The new Ingenium engines which go into the new XE are due within a year. I would hold on!

The new Disco Sport replaces the old freelander. No refresh for the LR4 or discovery yet!

I think it has now become pretty clear. If you want reliability then any Japanese or big engined American is the way to go. The way these brands clock miles nobody else can.

German, British & even Italian are purely for Chutzpah. It's the automative version of 'up yours'.

The pricing is much more reasonable now for what the Evoque offers. But with the upcoming facelift, one can only hope they remain the same.

The Evoque looks like a bargain compared to even the X3 and Q5 now. If they offer service packages (ala BMW's BSI) and extended warranty, nothing can stop them from selling hundreds of these every year.

Does any one know if the much awaited ingenium engines are now available in CKD versions of Evoque in India?

What are the wait times and discounts one can expect?
