This could be one of the top-end models as it has a start-stop switch as evident from the other pic in your post:

Auto wipers are confirmed?

Can't spot a rain sensor anywhere on the windshield (for reference, the Hexa had it at the bottom) in any of the pics. Looks like there won't be any auto wiper function.

However, on closer look - the HU looks rather dull in all the pictures posted. It was called an HD display, but the pictures don't seem to be doing justice to it yet! The colours, clarity all look a generation behind, but it could be due to the picture clarity too.

A clearer video showing the touchscreen. Seems bright and clear.

Nexon to debut end of September, Tata Motors targets one-third share of the compact SUV segment.

Quote:

The compact SUV market started in 2014 and since then has seen tremendous growth. We would at least need a share of 30 percent in this segment as it has just one strong model at the moment”, said the official mentioned earlier.

Tata Motors market share target translates to volumes of around 5,500-6, 000 units a month
Quote:

Tata Motors plans to aggressively position the Nexon as a vehicle having a mix of a premium hatchback and a compact SUV. This way the company stands to target both set of customers.

Display cars are in the process of getting dispatched and dealers will have them soon

We want to meet the festive demand just in time so we will commercially launch the Nexon towards the end of September

The DRLs are pretty bright - and they do have a warm shade (or is it with the picture).

Indeed, they are quite bright. I spotted the convoy approaching from quite a distance away, and what a sight it was!

They didn't have any warm tint, they are the same blueish white as the standard DRLs on all cars now.

Thanks to Jitender Shrivastava on Twitter for these.

End of September launch means more breathing room for Ecosport refresh launch, which is good for Ford India. Also, 5500-6000 is a huge number. Good luck, Tata!

Man,lot of info as usual. Pages to read :Frustrati.

How many premium cars are parked outside in the hot sun, regularly. (Parked unattended - not even with drivers sitting in them with door open). Nexon will be purchased by regular folks, many of us who have to often do this.

Sat in a 2003 S Class which was left in sun for 8 months without being used. Both the displays it had is now almost useless, its air suspension too is almost gone, its...gone, its...gone.

Something to compare.

The inside of the glove box cover has smart space management concept.

If I go by the pic posted, it seems it acts like a cup holder when open along with a slot which can be used for tissues?

Am I interpreting the picture correctly?

The cup holder is not a first. Our Ikon had this almost 15 years back. It was useless. With my 6ft and large frame, I could barely open the glove box lid to be able to hold a cup when seated on the passenger side lol:

End of September means they will miss huge chunk of sales from Kerala state.

Looks like someone is happy! Is this probably the first indirect comment on the engine?

Nexon debut towards the September end means Tata might miss Dasara rush in southern states, especially in Telugu states. AP is a traditional strong base for Tata cars.

Is it for real? Do you mean the feature first seen on the LR Discrovery 5? clap:

Had a talk with the local dealer, he said he has 24 bookings (unofficially), done at Rs. 11000 (fully refundable), with him already. Though he did not have any concrete info to share, he is expecting test drive vehicle by Aug first week and deliveries by September first week. And comes this news of Launch late September

Tata, initially it seemed, has got most things right about Nexon, but no, their display to delivery time is still pathetic to say the least. I understand that they would need to gauge market response to decide on the pricing front but isn't couple of months a bit too long? Or Are they being greedy here? Just kills all the build up.

If they at all are targeting the one third pie of the segment and the festive season, wouldn't the actual vehicles running on the street pull more customers in their showroom than what their marketing team can manage? Beats me. I would have loved to got my hands on it by mid September but so many bookings already done ahead of me, don't expect it before late October.

To make matters worse for them, Ford might pitch in with their Ecosport facelift and Maruti their Scross in the meantime.

The inside of the car could have been a tad better executed. The dashboard by itself isn't as bad looking but there are a few elements that could have been better like plastics at some places
