The 1.1 Diesel does not have much punch. The last time i drove one of these (did a TD 4 years ago), i had to cane the engine literally everytime for each overtaking move.
NVH also is not great.

Hyundai's 1.1 Diesel is better than this in my opinion.

Spotted on a test run on the Pune-Mumbai express highway by a Motorbeam spy.

The overall design seems to follow the same pattern of the Beat with the rendering of the headlamps, tail lamps, and many other cosmetic updates to justify the new crossover look. DRL’s and Projector Headlamps are the obvious additions to be received by the Beat Activ for matching the modern trend. At the rear end, it seems to get a fresh assembly of a diffuser.

Thanks to my cousin Dr Abhishek, who sent me these snaps yesterday. First look says it's a variant of Beat, could be Activ , so posting here. These mules were spotted at Manesar toll plaza. The other one I'm not sure (last 4 snaps), could be Chevy Spin/Enjoy. I haven't spoken to him so can't say what all he saw inside. I request mods to move those snaps to relevant thread. I've watermarked all images.

Looks like GM has another flop on its hands. The same old tired design. And I say this as owner of a Beat LT. GM needs to start afresh in India.

Nope this is the all new Beat / Spark. GM has said bringing this platform will be quite expensive. Instead GM has decided to ahead with the same old platform. Change the instrumentation and add a modern infotainment system [the only good change] and launch it in 2017.

Don't know what people are smoking at GM India. Your Sail Twins have flopped. Once good selling Tavera and Beat have declined considerably. Cruze which was the segment leader is the follower. India needs better products and fresh products GM.

Like they care!

Most of these India segments are run by folks sitting in a boardroom 9000 miles away with perceptions gathered from Slumdog Millionaire and other movies. I am sure they have interesting graphs to show how India is transitioning slowly from bullock carts and elephants to modern automobiles. As per their forecast, it should happen anytime around 2040? So, they shall, with their gracious hearts, provide us a few cars which they deem useless for the rest of the world. Let's queue up and accept their generosity.

Active is looking nice in both Front & Rear 3-Q. Much better than the current / older versions. But Spin ??
