Few cars can slip out of mind easily either due to lack of marketing, being too old, due to extremely bad image or due to so many other choices present in that segment or at price point (cross shopping).

Few examples from my side

Chevrolet - except Tavera I won't consider any of their cars. And Tavera is too old that sometimes slips out of mind.

Skoda - I like their Rapid but would not consider anything except T-Jet from that segment. Statements like 'I won't touch a Skoda with a barge pole' has taken Skoda completely out of my mind.

Tata - Except Tiago and Hexa almost of there cars are out of my mind as they are too old (eg Safari). Posts that come up after regular interval even by Zest owners about Pathetic service experience also make sure that Tata is not considered.

Fiat - Punto, Linea in all its variants and Avatars like Avventura or Abarth are too old to be considered and die-hard fans like me only can convince themselves to put money on them.

M&M - Except for XUV5OO, all other cars have unexciting feel about them but are selling due to their supreme practicality. To me I won't consider or buy one until there is no alternative for eg Thar.

Maruti - Swift, Wagon R, Alto 800, Ignis, Celerio, etc. get lost in the sea of Hatchback segment. S-Cross without 1.6 engine is out of consideration for many.

Hyundai - Eon loses on VFM against Alto K10 and Kwid so doesn't even come to the mind.

Duster n Terrano suffer from old design and boring interiors. Struggling for survival.

Beetle, MiniCooper, VW GTI, Fiat 595, etc. were not meant to be segment defining cars but for target customers atleast in our country.

Despite that there are few cars which still fail to come to the mind like Premier Rio, Force Gurkha, Force One, Ssangyong Rexton, DC Avanti, etc.
