Honda's current CVT is almost flawless. The Accord never ever had any of the characteristic problems associated with a traditional CVT and I could not find an instance where it failed to transfer throttle responses to the wheels.

I kinda like the Amaze facelift, though not pleasing in first look, but when you see the profile you see BMW GTish stance in this.

The interiors are also much better over bits & pieces sort of dash in current gen.

Not sure if this can lure people for a turnaround of Brio platform fortunes, which barring the Amaze is a failure.

Rear half portion takes the cues of the City's wedge design. Looks like a shrunk City. Have they used Jazz platform this time? Front is inspired by WRV (sort of). Does the CVT come with paddle shifts aka Jazz?

City's CVT is pretty laggy with anything more than a truly relaxed driving style. Accord could still manage, but that has more to do with the sheer power of the big engine. The instant torque provided by the batteries of the hybrid also help in a big way. The CVT on the Camry hybrid also provides a pretty acceptable driving experience.

Key: battery + big engine. Otherwise, take it easy.

I really like what Honda have done to the Amaze here. The only thing is I feel there is something odd about the boxy front. It reminds me of this;

The autocar video description says "New Amaze looks bolder and boasts a more spacious and upmarket cabin; will be offered with a diesel CVT combo for the first time."
