Re: Scoop! WagonR-based Suzuki Solio caught in India

After MSIL denying that a 7 seater WagonR is in the works for a near future launch, Rushlane has an article saying that Maruti may have been testing the Solio to launch Eeco and Omni's next gen models on that platform.

Let's see, whether MSIL comes out with a Solio based 7 seater WagonR as a challenger for Datsun Go+ and Renault RBC or even brings the Omni/Eeco replacement with it's platform.

Bandit? For a car that looks like a van? They might as well have named it Vandit! I guess such designs work in Japan, although very surprised why the Japanese would want to drive around in these kind of cars. Sure, the nature of the country means cars have to be small with a compact footprint, but the Japanese people are not giants, so Im not sure why such tall boy designs? They are also known to have nuclear families, so why do people fancy such cars there?

Looks like the front end is heavily inspired by the MG Hector.

Guess all the Kei car rules have managed to cultivate a preference for maximum space within a minimum footprint. A box is the best way to achieve this!
