....Why not conceptualise and gauge feedback on more realistic projects an plug huge gaps in the product portfolio? How about an Ertiga sized people mover, a Thar rival, an affordable small city electric car, a next gen Xenon pick up etc. etc...

After all it was based on the Safari's platform, and would have been pretty crude compared to the international competition. (Aah....if launched, by now it would have been a RWD sedan one could pick for peanuts)
The Elegante, in Tata's defence showed the design philosophy for the Manza. Though i remember the concept said it would have a V6 petrol engine option, and I was pretty pumped up. Tata moving upmarket et al.
The Prima concept, maybe now it looks slightly outdated, but it's still a good looking one.
The e-Vision. Oh c'mon Tata. Damn sedanocalypse.
Like @shortbread has said, why not an Ertiga rival, Thar rival or next gen Xenon.
Tata could have easily electrified the Nano. Would have been THE city car.
Looks like Tata has given up on BOF platforms. No Sumo successor, no Thar rival, no Safari successor, and not even a Xenon successor.
Funny thing, when Mahindra launched XUV500 and was developing the KUV, thought it would be monocoque from now for them. And Tata would be strong with the X2 platform in the Aria, Safari and next gen Xenon.
And now? Mahindra has lined up at least two BOF models with indigenous engines, while Tata..... |
