VW Ameo launched with 1.0L petrol engine

I haven't driven the 1.0L but as a user of the old 1.2, I can tell you that the engine is not the reason why anyone buys the Polo/Ameo petrol. If the fuel efficiency is better and the engine is a little more refined, the loss in performance between the 1.2 and the 1.0 may not be a deal breaker.

That said, it's strange that they didn't bring the 1.0 TSI with a manual. It would have really made the Polo/Ameo a standout car in the segment - astonishing given how old the platform is!
