This new model, of which for now its name is unknown, will be the SUV alternative to the Jazz in the Honda range itself. Moreover, the information that has seen the light and to which we must give great importance, underlines that it will be based on the current Honda Jazz

Honda ZR-V will be the suv-coupe successor of the WR-V: Game changing HYBRID likely to be offered.

Created on the basis of fit, the Honda WR-V was an "SUV" that the brand used as an option below the HR-V, betting on a reworked suspension and a different look of the hatchback. But, as it was with Fit, wr-v has already ended his career in Brazil. Meanwhile, the company works on a replacement, with an eye mainly on Asia and which was brought forward by the SUV RS Concept, presented in November.

Rumors in both Japan and the rest of Asia say it would be christened ZR-V because it is 'made for generation Z'. During the presentation, Honda's President of Indonesia, Takehiro Watanabe, hinted that this car will be a global model. It's done with the platform of the new City and City Hatchback, just as the HR-V was made based on the previous City, but was created to be smaller – there is speculation that it would even measure about 4 metres in length.

In the engine, it is said that it would have the 1.5 aspirated four-cylinder, delivering 126 hp and 15.5 kgfm, combined with an automatic transmission type CVT simulating 7 gears – that is, the same set of city. There is even talk about a hybrid option of 109 hp, repeating the mechanics used by the City Hybrid sold in Asia.

With the new generation of HR-V being larger and more refined, it makes perfect sense for the manufacturer to have the ZR-V as a cheaper option, picking up until it bought the WR-V (which performed well in sales). And, as you should share many parts with City besides the engine and platform, producing it wouldn't be difficult.

The presentation of the final version of the car will take place later this year in Asia, but if it comes here(Brazil), it should be only for 2023.

I came here to type the same. Its been 4 years and we still dont see their Creta rival yet. Meanwhile Hyundai launched new generation Creta and probably started the ground work for next generation. Honda still thinking whether to launch their ARV, BRV, CRV, DRV...... ZRV in India or not.

I am completely against these kind of nonsense names for cars. The names like XUV, KUV, Kona, Creta, Celerio, SPresso, Marazzo, Xylo... and many other "oo"s. Nonsense. The kind of names Honda, Maruti, Hyundai and M&M are giving for cars now tempts me to vomit. Why can't they name cars as in the past - like City, Esteem, Swift, Zen, Gypsy...

And BRV placed below CRV and ZRV placed above BRV but below CRV. What is the logic behind it?

Honda compact SUV coming next year, midsize SUV by 2024.

Honda’s two all-new SUVs being developed on Amaze platform; Compact SUV to replace WR-V, midsize SUV to take on Creta

Known internally as PF2, and PF2S, the latter for the larger Creta-sized SUV, this platform actually has a lot in common with the fifth-generation Honda City (third generation in India) that used a centrally located fuel tank.

Design and engineering work for the same will be shared partly between Japan and India. This arrangement should allow Honda to get a lot of re-engineering done without a steep increase in the price

Honda SUVs: Compact SUV first

Replacing WR-V, this compact SUV (Codename: 3US) is all but frozen, and engineering work is now progressing well.

The 1.2 petrol that powers the Amaze is also likely to be part of the range, and this could get a hybrid boost. And then, like the Maruti Brezza, Honda could also choose to forsake the sub-4m excise sop and offer its more powerful 1.5 petrol. Honda, according to sources, estimates it could sell around 6,200 SUVs a month

Honda SUVs: Midsize SUV next

At a later date is the bigger 3RA – Honda’s midsize SUV. Expected to hit the market sometime in early 2024, it is likely to be 4.3m long, use Honda’s new electronic architecture and screen system, and share its powertrain with the new City, City diesel and City hybrid.
Honda is evaluating three-row, 6- and 7-seater variants as well, for a wider appeal. Internal sales estimates for this car are lower than that of the compact SUV, and projections point at the larger SUV doing approximately 4,100 cars a month.

Wow, Honda you beat the market really good. Creta rival? Seriously? I think in an year or two, Hyundai would discontinue Creta and come up with something better. The rendered pics looks like some Hotwheels cars. Remove the City from the product line up and Honda will go the Ford way. Don't see how they can't understand basic logic of operating in the Indian markets. Or they are just here for the sake of it and nothing more.

WR-V is concerned, this new SUV, according to sources is “under study” for the Indian market and may come to India post the launch of Honda’s Creta rival which is slated to hit Indian showrooms just ahead of festive season of 2023.
