You are right, the Zen was infact based on the "Suzuki Cervo mode" of its time.

However for us, Swift is the new Zen!

800 is to become this!! WOW!!
But IMO such curves woulnt come thaaat cheap. Maybe, repeat, maybe, it could replace Alto, but 800, who will look elsewhere!!
Read somewhere that the 660cc makes 50+ bhp. AWWWSOME if it gets fitted in this to make this cheaper..

The interiors & specs look wayyy too plush for an entry level car.

Thats the most sensible way to go about matters...

By the way... Swift diesel is a huge hit, it seems... Can you imagine guys with Swift petrol wanting to exchange it for diesel??? All of a suddent two- three swifts have started appearing in true value...

MARUTI will definately bring in suitable competitor to rival TATAs 1 lac car. The options for MARUTI could be binging 600 cc motor for its budget car to minimize the costs.

TATAs 1 lac car is infact ,the dream project of Mr Ratan Tata of aiming all indians to own a car.Just like RELIANCE mobile s invasion of indian telecom market, TATA will definately change the rules of the indian automobile industry.

i think Suzuki Cervo won't be 1 Suzuki's 1 lakh car.
because Maruti can't bring the price of this car down
to 1 lakh. actualy the price of this car should be 3.3 lakh
up.

But it seems to be like that the new car will only reach the customer's hand by 2009/10.

Maruti seems to be the most proactive company in the car scene like Bajaj in the 2-W scene.

It should compete with the new matiz from GM. Remember reading about it in Overdrive sometime back as Maruti 800 replacement. It will change the way people look at cars in India if it really replaces the entry level 800.

wow ! nice pics guys...cant wait for this one to land here ! suzukis suddenly woken up !! i think its time to trash the 800...put the alto a couple of notches back, and bring this baby somewhere in between the estilo-wagonR ?! i think positioning this car for our market will drive the maruti bosses nuts !

The Suzuki Cervo is the 10th new minicar offered this year. ... They expect to have a new 1.2L diesel available in India in 2008.
