Old man, don't you need someone more agile carrying around your heavy lenses, and your tripods (err, I mean the camera tripods, naturally)?

Where do we queue up?

OT: I have read in the newspapers that Merc is shifting their factory from current leased premises in Pimpri to Chakan (outskirts of Pune).

Reminds me of few photographs from the McLaren SLR factory. It was a treat to the eyes!

The factory is located in Pimpri, adjacent to the Tata Motors factory. Infact the Merc plant is on leased land from Tata Motors.

Visitors are not allowed, one gets the chance to see the plant if you have the opportunity to got here on business. Mind you, as far as an assembly line goes, there isn't much happening here as the volumes are really small. When I visited the plant last year, they were assembling 7.5 cars a day: 4 C classes, 3 E classes & 1 S class every 2 days!

True. They are moving as the curretn location doesn't allow for much expansion. I think they will also assemble commercial vehicles a the new facility.
