Re: Hyundai @ Auto Expo 2020

It's curious that the Nios Turbo is a Sportz variant and gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the much more expensive Aura Turbo doesn't (SX variant).

That's getting unveiled tomorrow by Bollywood king SRK.

Was the new Verna showcased as well? Looking to book it based on how it will look for the Indian market. The Chinese version did not look too encouraging.

Wasnt Hyundai supposed to launch the new i20 at the AutoExpo? Are we going to see a new thread on it? Eagerly waiting for this launch

Unless Hyundai springs a surprise, i20 launch is reserved for Geneva Motor Show launch in March.

Re: Hyundai @ Auto Expo 2020

It is a bit bizarre that Hyundai didn't use SRK to promote the new Santro or even the i10 Nios considering how many ads he's done for the first gen Santro and Xing or even the first gen i10 across 2 decades!
I was half expecting to see Hyundai pull off some nostalgic ads for the 2 products with maybe Preity Zinta doing the "Sunshine Car" ads again.

I think the Sonata was the other product he advertised through his movies. I guess he's getting old and prefers Suvs like most 50 year olds for ease of ingress and egress.

Curious to see how Hyundai prices the Creta now considering where the Seltos sits. 9.xx starting price would be my guess.

Is it just me or the design seems inspired by the bum?

Talk about inspiration from Nature!

SRK's image also became different over the years. I don't think the buyers would associate him to a Santro anymore, whereas it is easier to place him in a Creta.

Entry-level cars are usually marketed with young artists who are well-known but not overly associated as being disassociated with the masses.

Seriously?!

The streak marks from a 'Raddi'-kapda' on a car displayed in Auto Expo! Have the car makers resigned to the fact that Indians don't have a eye for detail at all!

The 'Le Fil Rouge' concept car has been around since the 2018 Geneva Motor Show!

Hyundai just dragged in one of their oldies to add some spice to the show.
