At the front, the single-frame grille is now set lower to give the impression that the car is wider and features a new polygon motif that’s echoed in the shape of the new rear diffuser insert. The front air intakes have also been reshaped, while higher-spec models gain three narrow slits between the bonnet and the grille.
As with the larger Q5, the Q2’s facelift brings new LED headlights as standard.

Inside, the Q2 gains a new gearlever - for both manual and automatic versions - as well as redesigned air vents and new material options. It's also now equipped with four-way adjustable front seats as standard.

Fitted as standard on all models - including entry-level Technik trim - are an electronic bootlid, smartphone compatibility, rear parking sensors and cruise control

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

I seriusly think this should start at 27 lac ex showroom and 34 lacs for top. Further Q3 can start from 37ish and go till 45 ex showroom. No overlap and both should find takers in that pricing.

With that pricing, at least some people would pay 7-8 lacs extra for the "chaar challe" feel good factor and better interiors than Troc.

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

The Q2 looks quite unique for a compact AUDI. Love its R8(or i20) inspired D-pillar side blade & the lovely logo placement.
I doubt Audi will launch it here, given their current lackluster approach to India. They havent even introduced the newer gen Q3

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

Dear Audi,

The Q2 has been sold in the Global market in 2016,17,18,19,20.
You are five years late to the show. Do you think you'll actually be able to sell a car released 5 years ago? Ohh sorry I forgot, you are owned by a company that has been selling the Polo in India since 10 years. I'm sure you'll get away with this one too.

I wish you all the best.

Regards,

A frustrated car enthusiast living in a country that's step-motherly treated by your parent company.

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

This will make it a really expensive proposition. Being a CBU, I don't see this retailing for less than 29.99 ex showroom. So you either pick a superb or this. It has same 2l engine as superb.

Over the the T-roc, plus points are the 2.0 l tsi engine and premium interiors. And, the badge if it matters. It's a vehicle of similar size.

Over both Troc and Superb, I see Quattro to be an additional feature, however, it's a Q2 how much can you make use of it.

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

Are they launching the recently facelifted Q2 or the old one? Going by the pictures and videos advertised, looks like the older Q2. Sigh

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

There were people annoyed with Honda because they didn't launch the Civic with the 1.5 turbo engine. From the looks of it VAG is launching a 5 year old car for 30L ex showroom. Then they cry that sales don't happen.

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

I saw a tentative price of 35L ex-showroom for Q2 in one of the auto journos' Insta Stories. I feel 35L ex-showroom for this smaller than T-ROC vehicle is supremely expensive- CBU status notwithstanding. Plus I hoping they will bring the facelifted one and not the discontinued ones.

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

Audi Q2 is Volkswagen T-Roc with four bangles badge. Paying 35 lakhs for it when VW retails it for 20 lakhs is simply loot knowing both are CBU.

Hopefully people will be able to see beyond badge value.

The T Roc seems more practical than Q2 in terms of space, for the given price. However the interiors are far inferior in TRoc and it also misses lot of features. Also Q2 is likely to come very well loaded and also perhaps 2L engine. Now given its ex showroom, I reckon Tiguan is better proposition.
Nonetheless, there is certainly a badge value and it comes with certain quality as well, imo.

T-Roc is 1.5 TSI/150PS/250Nm. The Q2 is 2.0L 187BHP/320Nm. Am I missing something?
