Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

5 varieties for CBU with 250 odd cars being imported sounds funny! The T- Roc, Karoq and Allspace have done well because they have one model option which is fully loaded, even thought slightly expense. It's a good way to test the market and keep their offerings fresh

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

At 35-41L ex showroom the Q2 doesn’t even get a powered driver’s seat!

Also the rear seat space is really tight as seen here.

I feel Audi should pack up and leave India if this is their product offering for us.

I know the Seltos and Creta are lower segment cars catering to a different set of buyer but I can’t help but compare them to the Q2; both of them have many more features, space and the 1.4L TGDi motor is a strong performer. The Seltos and Creta make the Q2 feel like a compromise/ way overpriced!

Q2 being tested by CarAndBike India. Looks no bigger than Sonet, Brezza or Venue.

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

How to price a car completely out of its price range! Last when I remember you could get an Audi Q5 after discounts at the ex-showroom price of 48-49L where the top-spec Q2 is present today!

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

It looks similar to the T-Roc on the outside, while it's interiors look less premium than the Karoq.

The engine and the transmission could warrant a 5L premium, and the Audi badge might warrant a 5L premium over the T-Roc (since it looks similar to that).

This is Dead-on-arrival, IMHO.

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

Suddenly, the 2-series Gran Coupe seems affordable after looking at the Q2's prices.

Master stroke Audi of convincing the executives of winding up business in India.

Even all the cars a segment above would be cheaper than this factoring in the discounts.

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

Nearly 50lacs for a Q2!
Hahahaha. Hilarious.

Audi India is totally delusional. Instead of getting this nothing product, they should focus on what they already have in their portfolio. Maybe give the A4 better engines. Or even launch a halo product if you are going to ask for exorbitant pricing on a new model.

No way a jumped up hatch like the Q2 attracts any attention.
I don't mind the way it looks but I am guessing most would. And I can't help but seeing an XUV300 with an Audi badge upfront from some angles.

Pity the dealers too. How are you supposed to sell this?

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

Very optimistic pricing. Atleast 10 lakhs more than what it should be variant to variant. The Standard variant does not deserve to exist. It is barebones, not worthy of an Audi variant. The interiors are those from 2014 A3.

Given the removal of most models from the Indian lineup, think Audi just wanted to have some kind of a lineup in place to get something to talk about, and hence this car.

Yes, the BMW Gran Coupe that was looking non-VFM till now suddenly looks VFM. Discounts should start very soon on the Q2.

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

The base model doesn't have any speakers for the back seats. Let that sink in for a moment. For 35 Lakh rupees.

The only other car that I could find without rear speakers was the Alto, because Maruti thought to include them in the WagonR.

What is this alternate reality that we're living in where a Q2 costs way more than a Q3 used to just a couple of years ago?

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

side profile looks like an i20

tail lamps look like A-class lights inside Polo casing.

I find WagonR more butch than this somehow, yet I know this will be touted as a 'luxury SUV' at the showrooms. Not way too long ago one could get a new A6/5-series at this price point.

Re: Rumour: Audi Q2 India launch in September 2020

49 Lakhs ex showroom for a top end Q2

Wonder what top management folks at Audi are smoking. Even the outgoing Q3 with a diesel motor was priced lower than this.

My uncle bought a GLC (diesel) for around 57 Lakhs on road in 2018.

Feel very bad for dealers who will be dealing with dead inventory because of poor pricing.
