I drive 56 KMs daily to and from work; add to that driving twice a month to my home-town (70 KMs away), and normal running.

Total comes out to be about 2000-2200 KMs; my Getz gives 12 KMPL with AC always on i.e. 183.33 lts i.e. Rs. 7,855/- @ Rs. 42.85 per lt.

I drive around 80kms a day in my ikon(sometimes its 120kms a day) and the monthly Fuel cost reaches anywhere in between Rs.9000- 12000/ . On an average it is Rs. 10000 monthly . Anxiously waiting to buy a new diesel car to reduce the fuel costs .

To carry the discussion from other thread http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...isit-bunk.html, I used to fill always in Shell outlet and monthly fuel expense is around Rs 2500/=.

BTW, did you guys find IOC, IBP, HP, etc comparable in Q & Q with Shell & Reliance pumps?

Since I have bought car recently and following suggestions from my friends, I travel 18 kms up & down to fill petrol. Just checking if this is necessary.

BTW, this thread gives insight into which pumps are bad & good in Bangalore http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...rol-pumps.html.

My Wagon-R is very light on my pocket-Rs.2000/month.

My Thunder Bird (Royal Enfield) is kinda monster , i fill her up thrice a month of Rs.300/each time i visit the petrol bunk .so Totally Rs.1200/month.
So the total Fuel costs is hovering around Rs.3200/month.
These cost excludes all the weekend trips & several visits to mandya (in both wagaon-R & thunder bird)
