To be honest, I personally feel Skoda Vision sounds a lot better, feels up market and progressive than the names mentioned above. However, Skoda wants all their SUV names to start with a ‘K’. Eagerly waiting for this car. The 1.5 TSI with a DSG, sorted handling, chilling AC, good seats and legroom, 6/7 airbags with typical VW build quality is all I need. Wireless Apple CarPlay and digital cockpit would be icing on the cake. Skoda, please give us a 10 year DSG warranty. I’d pay for it, given its priced reasonably.
Cheers!

My money is on the name Kosmiq. Sounds good, has a good meaning - distinct. It will go well with the Indian junta. Kliq is too small for a csuv. It might be good name for a smaller vehicle which is a city pounder and easy to drive through crowded roads. The other 2 names Karmiq and Konarq are not very inspiring
Kramiq - maybe loosely referred to Kramig (Swedish) which means huggable. I dont think Skoda will want to call it a huggable car !!!
Konarq - Konar means kind... so again not too sure
Kosmik - this means Cosmic in Swedish
Kliq - i couldnt find much about it
Cheers
I think Konarq may also work. This is a car developed in India and Konarq can also construed as a reference to Konark - top notch masonry / construction. Simply clever? :)
Although Kosmiq seems to be the most likely candidate. Sounds right.

I am just saying, wait for the launch, you would be surprised by the features and the price, this car is going to be value for money, skoda is really putting a lot of effort into the new car.
If you are in the market for a new car in this price range, just wait! Just wait for 6 months and then make an informed decision, it's going to be worth it :D |
I am in the market to buy a mid-size/Compact SUV. Looked at many options - The Kias, Hector, Nexon; but love the design of the Vision IN (Kliq/Kosmiq/Konarq or whatever the brand decides to call it). Many thanks to this forum and especially to you for all the inside scoops.
A few questions:
- what kind of ground clearance do you expect from this car
- Suspension and ride quality - I used to own Duster earlier before being out of the country for 4 years. Duster really spoils you in terms of the ride quality. I have driven the Karoq and found the ride quality to be fairly good too. Do you think the Vision IN will handle equally well. Especially given the Mumbai roads with Craters, ride quality is a big deal (primary reason for me to not go with the Seltos)
- Interior Quality: Skoda did a fantastic job in managing the interior quality of Rapid at a very competitive pricing. How does Vision IN score there as per your friend? Hopefully no cheap/hard plastics on the dashboard

The vision will follow the quality standards which Skoda is famous for, you don't have to worry about any quality issues. It will have the same kind of road manners and ride quality which is found in other skoda cars.
The ground clearance will be around 190mm,which is more than enough for our road conditions. I have mentioned other features as well, you can read about them in the previous threads.
Spotted the Skoda Vision IN on the Worli-Seaface a few days back forgot to post it.

Whilst the render looks like a typical Skoda, I
sincerely hope that the reflector strip isn't there on the actual production model. It looks beyond hideous and totally out of place.

All the names start with 'K' and ends with 'Q', inline with Skoda's other SUVs KodiaQ and KaroQ. It would be interesting to know the reason behind choosing these two alphabets for SUV.
