Mod Note: Our Skoda Kushaq Report has been taken live at this link. Please continue the discussion over on the new thread. Thanks!

Received a picture as well as a short video clip from fellow Nexon owner & TNT member Sachin Pawar today. A big thanks to him for sharing these with us. I feel it looks strikingly similar to what Skoda had showcased as the Vision IN concept in Auto Expo. Especially the tail lamp design & roof rails. The car looks in a significantly advanced stage of design with final spec tail lamp cluster, roof rails etc. Or am I mistaken and its an already highly spotted mule of some other car?

Also keeping company was an Altroz test mule (possibly an EV or Turbo - couldn't be verified). Its not clear if they were running together or just happened to be in the same area by chance.

Sachin spotted these mules near Bavdhan, Pune after the Pashan Lake.

Or its the Kamiq?

Skoda Vision IN spotted testing - Posts moved to a new thread.

The Skoda Vision IN crossover has been spotted testing on the Mumbai-Pune highway.

The Skoda Vision IN concept was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. It measured 4,256 mm in length, 1,589 mm in height and had a wheelbase of 2,671 mm. The production version will be based on VW Group's MQB A0 IN platform.

This particular test mule appears to be a close-to-production prototype and looks similar to the patent images that had leaked earlier this year. It has a typical Skoda grille flanked by slim headlamp units and a pair of trapezoidal fog lamps. It has L-shaped tail lights at the rear. The SUV is equipped with roof rails, a shark fin antenna and is riding on 5-spoke alloy wheels.

The production version could be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 148 BHP and 250 Nm. This engine could be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Lower variant could get a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Thanks to BHPians Reinhard and Amoghk98 for sharing the images with other enthusiasts! Thanks to Arun VK for sending these images in. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing it with other enthusiasts via this Team-BHP page!

I hope those alloys make it to the production spec car. Also in one of the pics shot from back the tyre width seem to be too thin. Must be 185mm or less.

No way! Have a close look at pic no. 3, it's 205/55 R17 size.

I'm having difficulty judging the car size from the camo pics.
Could someone tell me what segment is this meant to fit it?... a Creta/Seltos competitor or above or below it?

Thanks.

Crete/Seltos is 4.3M while I've read somewhere that this SUV is 4.25M. It is built on the lines of T-Cross. It will compete with Creta/Seltos, not with Ecosport/Nexon.

Its a Creta rival but a tad smaller in dimensions. Will have the 1.0 TSI engine powering lower models and 1.5TSI for the higher variants.

My guess is, in terms of the dimensions it should be similar to the S-Cross. Pricing could be just a shade above the Creta/Seltos

It will lock horn directly with Creta/Seltos although length will be bit smaller than Creta/Seltos. Expected base variant price is 10.7 lakhs ex-showroom while top variant could go up to 16.5 lakhs ex-showroom.

There will be two engine options -

1. 1.5 L 4 Cylinder TSI petrol
Power - 148 BHP
Torque - 250 NM
Transmission - 7 speed DSG
0 -100 kmph in 8.7 seconds

2. 1.0 3 Cylinder TSI petrol
Power - 115 BHP
Torque - 200 NM
Transmission - 6 speed MT/AT

Just came by this tweet by Zac Hollis.

Oh wow..The vehicle looks amazing specially the alloys. Though not able to make out the complete silhouette of the vehicle due to camo still looks are promising. Can’t wait for the launch

I think this 4.25M length is estimated by the dimensions of the auto expo "concept". But in these pics, it does not appear smaller than Creta. We can notice the thickness of the pillar after the quarter glass area. Hope it is as big as it appears, as big as Creta and Seltos.

No diesel options :(
