Kia sells 2 lakh cars in India in just 17 months

Kia has many good models in the hatch and sub 7L category. They should ride on the success of these sales numbers and offer those products to a much more wider audience.

May be OT and not of significance but the percentage split for Top end variant and UVO seem off. The % of cars with UVO will have to be at least equal to the top variant figure, if not more!

Kia Motors India – 0 to over Two Lakh units in just 18 months, and here is how it was achieved.

- Mid SUV Seltos which contributed to over 74% of the volumes

- Its sub-4m SUV Sonet which contributed to 23% of the sales.

- Kia Motors India took 12 months to cross 1 Lakh units sales milestone . However; the next 1 Lakh units sales was attained in a record 6 months!

- Kia became the fastest carmaker in India to achieve 2 Lakh units of wholesale domestic sales in the country

- Top End variants have contributed near to 60% of the total cars sold.

- Kia has sold over 1,06,000 UVO connected Kia vehicles on the road summing up to a humongous 53% of the brand’s total sales. One out of every two Kia cars sold now has connected car features!

- Seltos became the best selling model in Kia’s portfolio and has single handedly contributed to >1.5 Lakh unit volumes

-Sonet has supported the volumes well and is in the verge of crossing 50k units volumes in just 6 months!

- Kia’s costliest offering in India – Carnival has crossed 5.5k volumes in Jan’21.
