One of the above
Connected Cars: Already there since 2 years
EV: Don't think so, Maruti expects huge volumes for all their products, which EVs do not promise at the moment.
Hybrids: Half Baked so called Hybrids already there, so nothing new.

BS6 Diesel: Pretty sure about that. Better late than never.

Maruti new teasers are cooking to release a new bumper update for Baleno.

Come on MS prove me wrong by giving Jimny or atleast your diesel mill to drivers delight or atleast give a sun roof for kids delight.

Re: What's cooking behind Maruti-Suzuki's new teasers?

I will really look forward to some hybrid tech in their cars. I am hoping the JV with Toyota bears fruits and that we see some hybrids on the Marutis. Hoping for a hybrid car launch!

I am a big fan of EVs and have been tracking the evolution of that industry very keenly. But having said that I still am a bigger fan of the hybrid tech in cars. In India that makes a lot of sense, mainly because our EV charging infra is still at such a formative stage.

Nice guessing game, guys!

"Going to tell you everything" hints toward data. I think this is going to be some new "connected tech" feature addition. Or perhaps, they are extending it to Maruti's regular range. Isn't that Suzuki Connect only for Nexa cars right now?

Sorry for playing spoil-sport here. These teasers have got nothing to do with anything new - be it EVs or Connected Tech. It is merely a marketing 'exercise' by Maruti Suzuki labelled as "People's Technology". It focuses on promoting their already existing technological 'innovations'.

Disappointing? Yes, I know, but it's not as if I was waiting for them to announce the Jimmy EV.

Why am I not surprised. I honestly expected them to "reveal" some energy saving Surya LEDs or the like in the cabin lights. That's how low my expectations are when it comes to innovation from them.

People's Technology - so you mean they will be going a step further to justify their "#DilSeStrong" message (remember their for NCAP ratings few months ago?) with this new technology?

Same old MSIL doing the same old attitude marketing.

Ourselves to blame for even creating a post to discuss this horrendous topic.

Re: What's cooking behind Maruti-Suzuki's new teasers?

IMHO, I see this new "People Technology" as a brand repair campaign after being mocked up by TATA on the Safety front. At this point MS has no data to counter TATA's mocking. So, how do you counter and remove that from people's senses, create a new term and go gaga over it.

Silly Fellows.

Re: What's cooking behind Maruti-Suzuki's new teasers?

Looking at the first post, I dont think they have told everything an indian needs to know. Why did their cars fare poorly in crash test except brezza?

Suzuki Connect - Whats so unique in that ? Most of the manufacturers have the connected version of their own cars

Smartplay Studio - Is it a rechristened version of Android / Apply carplay ?

Autogear Shift - Yes they introduced Autogear shift first to common man

Smart Hybrid - Still blowing dust in consumers eyes

K-Series - Gem of an Engine is now getting old

Heartect - Still giving heartache whenever I see crash videos/pics

S-Cng - The Technology which common man can depend on with the recent spikes in petrol and diesel prices.
