There were reports of Amaze to get a sunroof making it the 1st Compact Sedan to get it. Am I missing something?

Any benefit of providing Cruise control on MT and not on CVT? I thought Honda would rectify this in facelift.

Who was the genius who avoided putting in cruise control on the CVT variant and instead only put in manual ? Yes this should have been rectified in facelift atleast.

Also I have seen some spyshots where the sunroof was visible. Is this list reliable?

Re: Honda Amaze facelift launch in India by August 18

I too thought Honda will give cruise-control in the CVT variant in this facelift.

Officially we may know only on August 18th, but the sales guys I talked with today unofficially, said no chance.

Maybe the 'smart' guys at Honda want to push these customers for the City instead

Dear Honda,
  1. Independent rear head rest.
  2. Rear AC vents.

What gives?

No mention of rear AC vents. I seriously miss it in the current gen Amaze. Although the AC is quite good compared to the competition, rear passengers have complained the back seat being hot in summers.

Hope Honda has fixed their notorious glove box issue at least in this new variant. The uneven gaps are an eyesore.

Re: Honda Amaze facelift launch in India by August 18

I like the new grille. This is how it is supposed to be. Unless it is an EV, the flat slat doesn’t look good. Also curtails the air intake.
The top border of the grille can still lose a lot of bulk & be slimmer like the lower 2 parallel lines. Maybe could’ve been a 4 parallel lined grille in chrome, would’ve looked much better.

I hope Honda adopts this grille design language to all its models. I hope Tata is watching too (Hello Nexon design team !!)

Some damn headrests for your rear seat passengers. Can't believe that prices have been increased for stuff that can be easily done from any competent aftermarket installer.

Re: Honda Amaze facelift launch in India by August 18

What I miss the most in my 2019 Amaze Petrol CVT and wished it were included in new one:
Rear ac vent
Adjustable rear headrests
More powerful headlights
Better insulation
Better fit and finish of interiors(as rattling noise can pop out of nowhere)
Also, it would have been better if Honda could improve the low end torque, as the engine comes to life only after 2000rpm. Just like Maruti had done with dualjet engine.
Still I love this car, its very reliable, service is satisfactory, handling is very good and find it most vfm for the price I purchased for two years back. When you sit in it, it gives a plusher feeling than what it costs.

to that. I think the Jazz and Amaze are really good cars from the engine till the driver seat. It goes downhill from there. Suitable only to drive alone or by a young couple with no plans to haul parents/children at the back. The Jazz's rear seat is even worse.

Loved the new look. They should really consider offering City's 1.5 iVTEC with Amaze, even as an option. That engine will definitely bring enthusiasts back to Honda showrooms.

Re: Honda Amaze facelift launch in India by August 18

Hello Community.

This is my first post on the forum. I have been reading through Team-Bhp since 2009 and finally decided to take the plunge now to join and contribute to this community.

I had been to the Honda showroom to check out the Amaze,WRV and City for my FIl.
I will reserve the comments for WRV and city for their respective forums.

I wanted to add a few information regarding the huge price hike for Amaze Diesel of >1lakh which I got from the SA there. Honda is moving from DPF to DEF and hence the huge cost. The rumour is also that Honda will not charge for DEF fluid too and hence the huge price rise which also covers the DEF filling cost.

Hello and welcome!
I am a newcomer too, just a few posts old.

The information you have provided is indeed vital. I wonder why this has been conviniently left out from Honda's official information channels?

I am no expert, but I thought that the DEF option was only viable/required for engines with capacity of 2.0L or larger? Perhaps Honda have taken a step ahead of their rivals by replacing the DPF set-up with DEF.

DPF related issues have started cropping up in vehicles, where the manufacturers were afraid of passing the much higher cost of DEF set-up and opted for DPF instead.

Looks like Honda is probably doing the right thing from a long term perspective, albeit at the significant increase in initial cost of acquiring their products.
