Those vehicles are not even for testing . No one is testing with those vehicles . recently they had those Hilux , may be those were for tesing their new launch. The new vehicle to be launched has never seen on road anywhere on the world !!

hey toyota, i've seen the green Kijang that was featured in a mag when it was being tested. Its used by a family i guess.

V12 i have seen the Green Tavera too, its situated at Hiranandani Thane, thats where its generally parked.

IMO even if they do launch the sportage considering they convert it to RHD, it will be a 5 seater and at 8 lakhs it wont affect the Tavera one bit since the Tavera is a 8 seater min. The sportage wud have to be positioned as a SUV and not MUV.

Before Qualis was launched the Test was done on the latest Kijang from Thailand . Later the vehicle get exported . They are normally not sold after the Test.
Same goes for the new launch tooo.
BUt hopefully by late August this year we can see it in Magazines .

Oh. Then it cud be a private import i guess. BTW Toyota, what happens to the Indian test vehicles. I mean cars like the test Scorpio, Indica's etc etc. I've heard that they are sold at throwaway prices. Is it right?? or are they scrapped??

Lol.... the two cars look so similar i probably must have seen the Kjiang, cuz i remember turning around and seeing it a hundred times " Tavera or Kjiang? Tavera or Kjiang? Tavera..."

BTW dippy, these cars log quite a few hundred thousand kilometers and are sometimes sold away. I have seen the old look Octavia (the one with the older bumper design, that low cut one) White and Red Octavia a month or two back here in Mumbai. So my guess is they were sold to someone out here.
