Not that Fiesta is bad, but I always loved the macho look of old Ikon.

Old 1.6 SXI with Ford OEM alloys and fog lamps looked a real mean machine. Compared to that, Fiesta looks far more tamed down, if not sissy.

I voted for Aveo finally.

Had Indigo a better rear-end, it would have gotten my vote. But the Fiesta did, the styling's pretty much conventional and I expect a car to look like a car, looking futuristic be darned. However, wheel offset would do it better in terms of looks, as the stock wheels appear inset those wheel arches.

Fiesta. Definitely. Fantastic proportions, elegant style.
SX4 comes second - good muscular styling.

From the lot, Fiesta for me any day for the looks, followed by SX4 and NHC. Personally I dont like the looks of Verna, but again looks are deceptive.

First of all , Fiesta is not a cab forward design .

Am surprised to see negative remarks about NHC-Type II (not R...lol !). I feel the current one looks quite good , it may not be a boyracer low slung long bonnet mini muscele but thats quite impossible with cabforward design .

When viewed from the side any cab forward design looks a bit weird be it civic or city .

Aveo looks the best in the above mentioned list but even that is not cab forward design .

SX4 ? from the sides it looks wierder than UFO let alone cabforward design !

The Aveo and the Verna look pretty good to me - though they have some exterior chrome parts in the rear which they can do without.

NHC looks awesome in its own sense - a brilliant representation of a futuristic car.

The Fiesta looks quite decent - but pretty ho-hum...

The SX4 seems very unproportioned from any angle - like 3 different cars fused together. The designer needs to get away from whatever he's been smoking.

Indigo and Logan - well ....

PS - @SB, the Logan is missing. Not that many will miss it

From the current breed, its undoubtedly the Fiesta for me. The Ford has classic timeless designs and doesnt have a single "quirky" touch to it. I hate most modern designs with the NHC topping that hate-list. Just look at how the Lancer or the OHC look good even today!

A good set of alloys / tyres on the Fiesta makes it look delicious.

Well, the Type-II is definitely an improvement over the Type-1 NHC, as far as looks go. But still, the looks are too futuristic, to use a mild word. And anyway when we keep seeing the car for years, I guess we get over the initial shock. Remember when the Santro was launched and how everyone felt on seeing a car that looked like an auto-rickshaw ?

Yes, the chrome at the rear is what put me off the Aveo.

Yeah. But I was not sure whether it comes in this segment or with the Flair/Esteems. Anyway, as you said, I am sure we will not miss it here. Yucks.

Exactly GTO... New NHC su***.... Some designs are timeless... I hate the bubble look of new gen cars... Gone are the days of OHC, Lancers...

A bit surprising seeing the SX4 going neck and neck with the Fiesta. I thought it was an odd looking car. Though definitely a looker when compared to the NHC. LOL

Surprised to see the poll results being this close. I felt the SX4 looked fine, but not over the Fiesta.

U took the words right out of my mouth.. but I feel though it doesnt have any of the quirks that other cars have, its the plain Jane among the lot. A more Mondeo'ish styling would have helped its cause. In its "Indian" avatar (which has no resemblance to Fiestas available elsewhere), its just too bland for my taste.

where is the Optra

The Optra would have been my choice. It has got fantastic proportions and aesthetics right except for the slightly thin legs.

Since my choice is not there, the next in line would be Fiesta followed by Verna and Aveo and Sx4.

Indigo is one of the most ugly looking cars that Tata has ever built. There is something really wrong the way it looks in some angles. Some hatchbacks should never be converted to Sedans. Though the marina looks decent IMHO.

My thoughts strictly, no offense meant to anybody's choice.
