Drive an old car with olden tech tyres and with new tyres, you'll know how long a way tyres have come. I would say that tyre improvements over the years are some of the most significant improvement in cars. Radial tyres offer so much more grip than ply tyres. And tubeless tyres are much more safe from a blow out than tube type tyre. Even the difference between generations is perceivable. Test drive a car with UC6 and MC5 back to back and you'll know.

Disruption is not a magic pill for improvement. There are hard working people behind the corporate curtain, who contribute silently to small improvements everyday than to make a big splash.

While the never ending debate on tyre emission continue, I would like to suggest environmentalists to find another source of particulate pollution and regulate them.
Hint: "BRAKE-PADS”

Brake pads are going to be regulated from Euro 7, probably also will be regulated from BS7 as well.

Thank you for sharing this. Very interesting to watch this. Almost every industry is plagued by lobbying. It is indeed very sad to see the state of affairs, not just in India, but across the world.
