Porsche Chennai is organizing a experience drive in Coimbatore from October 6th to 21st 2022 at Kari Motor Speedway. Really happy to see such efforts taken by Porsche to reach out to potential customers who can learn about and also experience these beauties at the best possible environment. They would be bringing 9 models from their portfolio all of which would be available to experience.

"Kari Motor Speedway, Purpose built for Formula 3 racing in 2003, a technical circuit with tight corners. Got an upgrade and a new layout in December 2020 and not many have driven on the new Track. The upgrade project was taken up by ‘Driven International’ a UK firm which has worked on other renowned tracks in the world like Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi and the Silverstone Rally Cross Track. The track will play host to the F4 Indian Championship and Formula Regional Indian Championship slated for November 2022."

It is for the Buddh circuit too; enclosed is the complete brochure.

The slot is Rs 85000 + GST, open to everyone. Most have been booked already, though.

Actually, no, the cost of taking your car + renting even without considering training and other goodies/ stay can be more similar; it's super VFM as the vehicles will be of Porsche. You are not worried about fuel, tyres or anything else. Though the last time Porsche did a similar exercise in 2017 ( no training, though), they never allowed the cars to go past a certain speed; I recollect 120/ 140. Very unlike BMW, which doesn't care at what rate you want to drive, as long as you don't crash (one BMW India employee did crash)

I couldn't find the event link on the Porsche experience page. Can someone please help? Googling it gives me a result under the Middle East/India category page but nothing is listed under that, just the main page for Porsche Experience. Is it already booked and they removed it from the website? They usually keep event listed even if it is booked.

Look at it this way, If I am in the market to buy any of these Porsche cars, I'd be easily spending upwards of 1.5Cr, And paying 1lakh is less than 1% of the cost of the car, But in return, I get some training + peace of mind that I am buying the right car (Much needed when you're spending such a huge sum), and last but most importantly its th experience of driving these mean machines on track, Priceless I would say.

It's actually subsidised by the marketing / branding team. The cost of hosting this event might surpass their collections.

If you take your own supercar to the track, the cost of tyres alone will exceed 1 lakh. And here, you are getting to experience a wide variety of cars. Where else in India do you have this opportunity?

IMHO, this is well worth the price for an unforgettable experience. And an invaluable one if you are a potential Porsche customer.

You would they would at least have a contact us form or some other enrolment details in the brochure to make it easier for registration.
But looks exciting and as others have pointed out, it is a great value proposition.

Dirt cheap if you want to experience a car you can/cannot afford and that too in a closed environment with experienced folks whose advises alone are worth the money when you consider the skills and tips imparted can be life saving somewhere down the line.

Very effectively priced IMO - they'll end up eliminating wannabe kids who want to try these out while keeping the real potential customers in their radar.

Seems like an invite-only event. I could not find a link/page regarding the booking details or steps anywhere on the Porsche India site at first look. Price seems reasonable to me given the inclusions and exclusivity of the experience. Just hope the laps are not speed limited to a comically-low speed.
