The wiring is so dumb, that if you break the wire, it actually completes the circuit as if nothing happened and that door is in locked state. I had my rear seats removed for seat cover change. The installer happened to break the rear door (right) wire while fixing back the seats. For days I had no clue that wiring is compromised, since that door always used to "pretend" that it is locked. one day my central locking worked even without closing the right door and then I discovered that something's gone real bad.
I think the way autocop is wired, behaves exactly opposite.
in short, icats thinks that as long as circuit is completed, door is open.
The moment circuit is broken/open, it thinks door is closed.
So if a thief wants to get in, he should make sure that the wiring is broken for the compromised door  .
And btw, the wiring takes a ground power supply. To simulate open door, feed -12V to the door wiring to trigger icats alerting. |
