Hey Vahss..

To increase mileage do the following..

Drive between 2000 and 3000RPM

Dont speed above 80(impossible atleast in mumbai)

Try to drive mostly in higher gear or 5th gear..

Avoid excessive use of brakes and clutch..

Drive when engine is warm however dont idle it more then 3 minutes..

Always put fuel from a reputed station..

Use higher octance fuel.

hope that helps..

to add to what montoya ahs said, the tire pressure also plays a very important role in FE.keep them properly inflated.
cleaning the air filter regularly also helps in improving FE.

if driven properly, i do feel a k&n stock replacement filter should help improve FE.

Accent CRDi

Worst - 11kmpl
Drifter, thats your WORST??? Gawd, thats got to be the highest of the lowest figures noted here!

CRDi absolutely rocks - None of the cars in my house give 10+ kpl unless driven with an extremely light foot.

My First Conti (Petrol) - Best - 12 in city and 14 on highway (Non A/c)
Second Conti (Petrol) - Wrost - 6 in City A/c
Third Conti (Diesel) - Worst - 11 in City, Best - 15 in city, 20 on highway.

We had M800 as well, but my bro used it and so i dont have any idea bout them..
Currently, WagonR giving 13 in city with A/c (used by Bro)

I dont exceed more than 80 when im looking for FE on highways...thats when i get the best FE....

Its tooo less. you should get atleast 18-20. Either your driving is too rash or your car is badly mistuned.

My octy (Moped as RJK says) on 15 inch OE tyres n rims - consistently gives 18 kmpl - ac on all the time ...highway + city (50%-50%) ...while on a run to pune at constant 80 kmph - 22 kmpl and at speeds between 110-130 kmph - 20 kmpl ( 4 people).

now with 16 inches - have to see - will be back after this tankful is over

over n out

If it gets over soon that is with that average it surely has a superb range..

Why did you drive her at 80?? Are you running her in?

THe best i have seen on Octys is 17inchers.. if you going in 16inchers then i feel the spider alloys are the best thought Skoda charges you 87K for Michelin Tyres + Alloys
