The Facelift cars have arrived at the dealers and I was allowed to get a look at the cars in person.

The dealer I went to had red and white color asta. The white looks great while the red looked a little odd to me. The front grill and the modified back design looked very nice to me with the white color.

Keen to see how it looks in aqua teal.

2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios launched, prices starts at Rs 5.68 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom).

New fascia with a new large grille, redesigned headlamp cluster and new tri-arrow LED DRLs. It has new taillights, an LED light bar at the back and new, 15-inch alloy wheels.





New grey upholstery for the seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and footwell lighting.





New instrument cluster and also gets TPMS



New features such as an updated safety suite with 4 airbags, ABS, EBD as standard. Top-spec variant gets 6 airbags, ISOFIX, ESC, hill-hold and auto headlamps.



RDE compliant, E20 fuel ready, 1.2-litre petrol and 1.2-litre CNG powertrains. For now, there’s no turbo-petrol on offer. Will get a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.

So the first product of 2023 with E20 fuel ready engine. I have always found the design of Grand i10 to be the best among other versions of i10 but this one is feature and safety loaded (Not talking about structure). Since this is predominantly a city car, this seems to tick all the boxes. AMT of Hyundai is not that bad. A perfect city car which can also be used for occasional long drives. Now lets see what is the pricing of other variants.

So going by numbers, i10 Nios has bigger boot space than XUV300. Well done Hyundai Boot space design team if there is any.

With this update Hyundai has negated most of the benefits Swift had over Nios. The Nios now has better safety, smoother AMT, better put interiors, more features. The Swift only scores w.r.to better engine/economy and a bit more fun to drive. Unless you have issue with Hyundai, Nios should be easy pick. Heck scores over Tiago too which misses 4/6 airbag, ESP and Hill hold.

What are people's thoughts on the look of the new i10 now that the vehicle is out. I liked it in white and teal but didn't in red. I guess the bold front face makes it little polarizing and it kind of doesn't blend in well with all colours.

I think this facelift should be a hit considering it is feature heavy vs it's competitors.

2023 Hyundai Aura facelift launched at Rs. 6.30 lakh

Last week, Hyundai launched the 2023 Grand i10 NIOS in the Indian market. The carmaker has now announced the prices for the updated Aura compact sedan.



The 2023 Aura facelift is available in three variants: E, S and SX, with prices starting at Rs. 6,29,600 (ex-showroom). Like the Grand i10 NIOS, the Aura also receives cosmetic updates, especially around the front fascia. The car gets a redesigned grille, bumpers, new L-shaped LED daytime running lights and 15-inch Diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Inside, the Aura gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, automatic climate control, cruise control and voice recognition. The car also comes equipped with automatic headlamps, footwell lighting, and a new 3.5-inch MID.

The Aura is available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 82 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. The car also gets a factory-fitted CNG option. When running on CNG, the engine’s output drops to 68 BHP and 95.2 Nm. Both powertrain options are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. A 5-speed AMT is available on the top variant.

All variants of the Aura come equipped with 4 airbags as standard. Customers also get the option to upgrade to 6 airbags. Additionally, the car gets ESC, VSM, Hill Start Assist Control, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
