No USB charging ports? Front as well as at the back?

How stupid! Height of ridiculous cost cutting.

Think the front has a usb charging option just below the ice screen on the left.

That's for the Android Auto / Apple CarPlay connectivity. No fast charging options anywhere. The top variant gets four Type-C charging ports. There are none in the Onyx variant.

That’s the dedicated point for the wired Android Auto / Apple CarPlay connection. Ulta slow charging, most likely. Otherwise, there is no other USB port anywhere on the car, A type or C type. There is no wireless charging and I don’t see any 12v outlet either.

Re: Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition : A Close Look

The exterior looks like a car on camouflage testing. Not sure if a customer would want to see that every day!

I thought Maruti have the worst stickering job out there. But Skoda outdid them with the onyx edition . Looks very bad with the stickers

That looks like the mud splash people usually get on their car while driving after a rain. Hopefully, the cleaning guys don't scrape it off, thinking it to be a stubborn stain.

Re: Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition : A Close Look

The only premium looking thing on the interior is the Skoda badge on the steering wheel.
They should seriously consider firing the guy who has such poor taste for cabin design (the namesake infotainment screen looks horrendous) and hell bent on cost cutting in Skoda 2.0 cars.

Re: Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition : A Close Look

Why Skoda why ? ,I bet the local shop down my street can do a better sticker job than what has been done to "Onyx Edition". I guess VW and Skoda can start a 101 on how to do a bad sticker job and pass it off as a special edition.

Re: Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition : A Close Look

The decals aside, I think that this is a really good move by Skoda. There is a difference of 1.75L between the Active TSI and the Ambition TSI and this variant fits nicely in between. Most of the changes that you see in this variant are difficult to incorporate after market like the sleek looking LED projectors, auto AC, rear wiper and defogger etc. The only major miss of this variant is the lack of the 10 inch touchscreen/ a more modern looking touchscreen which the higher variants offer. You can easily 'fix' the lack of alloys and the lack of leather on the steering wheel. Heck, you can even fix the touch screen but it shall take away the OEM look.

Overall, a good move by Skoda though I do hope that it is possible to avoid having those decals at the customer's request.

Re: Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition : A Close Look

For a little close to lakh more than the Active, you get the below
projector headlights with drl
front fog lamps
different and better seat upholstery than active
Auto AC
rear wiper, defogger
floor mats
1 or 2 very small chrome / piano black finishes
onyx decals (looks really bad to me)

Now add a little more than 1 lakh and you get an Ambition with
Alloy wheels
Better 8" ICE
different seat fabric (not necessarily better)
ambient lighting
little more chrome and piano black on inside
Silver bumper bottoms and roof rails
a little more tit bits.

Skoda could have looked at introducing the blue from the Taigun as well.

Re: Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition : A Close Look

Looks like Skoda is targetting a variant in each lakh within 10 to 20L bracket. They launched the Ambition in 1.5L engine too which is a fantastic move. Only they could have avoided the ugly sticker job.

If this how this decal looks in a white car, I can't fathom how it will be in Grey and Red colours
