Had a chance to drive friends 10 month old Creta diesel top end with sunroof. (may be a Knight edition as it had knight badge)

Drove it from Latur to Kozhikode and back.
via Solapur-Vijaypura-Hosapete-Chitradurga-Tumakuru-Kunnigal-Muddur-Mysuru-Gundlupete-Waynad-Calicut.
Total distance - 2249.8 km
Fuel efficiency- 23~24 kml (throughout)
Cruise Control Speed- 100 kmh

I,am recently shocked by mileage figures of antique WagonR F10D.
Did a recent BLR-Hornadu-Sringeri-BLR Trip: Total Distance Traveled = 732 Kms, from Start to End, Fuel Consumed is around 35L, Tank to Tank evaluation (there is no MID display in my car), Fuel Efficiency is around 20.91 KMPL. Number of people : 4, AC maybe 20-30% of time. Complete Highway Drive.
I cannot believe above mileage figure. Car is run 80K Kms, still with stock clutch.

For the first time in 5.5 years, my Panda (2017 Creta SX+ P MT) gave the worst FE (tankful-tankful) last month. The FE was around 9.6 Kmpl. This involved a lot of city run in the rain and some hill driving. I have done this before but had got more than 10 kmpl all the time. May be this time it was due to the rains.

The odo stands at a smidge below 51k Kms.

The same thing happened to me. I got a mileage of 15.36 for 219 km for my Baleno petrol(tankful-tankful). I am still unable to comprehend how that happened since the mileage on ODO is still the same. Some things were different this time which I can think of for this low mileage.
1) I filled nitrogen for the first time.
2) Petrol pump was different.
3) I calculated mileage earlier than I used to.
4) Mostly running was in the rain. (90% highway)

Guys, what could be the reason for this huge difference?

My C3 Turbo fuel consumption over 15000km is 14.436kmpl.

In city drives it ranges from 11-13 on highways initially I got 17-19 but after 5000km I have done some pretty fast expressway runs with extra loaded car and got 14-16 kmpl only. Overall happy with it only city mileage should be a little higher. My driving style is pretty mixed however I have noticed I have start using clutch more, because of trying to keep the car in perfect gear every time. What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?-screenshot_2023081714204613_2b3f3c8d1fd5cd66f114c90effc5a955.jpg

In a recent 1168 km trip on a 4 laned highway, my 2014 Tata Zest Diesel (90 ps) returned 23.04 kmpl. Sppeds maintained were 80-90 kmph.

The odo reading is 1.45 lakh km.

I got 22 - 22.3 kmpl many times earlier but even I was surprised when it crossed 23 kmpl.

Recently I drove to Visakhapatnam from Bangalore and back. To and fro distance is 2000 Kms. The mileage I got was around 12.5 kms per litre of Diesel. The car is 2021 November model Innova Crysta Z Diesel automatic with 10K kms on the odometer. It is BS6 vehicle with DPF.The car is 2400 cc with around 150 bhp.

Managed to achieve 22+ kmpl :Cheering: on my XUV700 AX7 L AWD after 2nd service during a road trip from Pune to Surat and Statue of Unity.

This was achieved between Pune to Navi Mumbai section. Important to mention that I filled up Shell Diesel. As you would notice, the Range indicator seems to be restricted at the largest 3 digit number: 999!

The overall fuel economy of the whole trip showed a good 18.5 kmpl.

With the regular HPCL diesel during the recent drive from Pune-Valsad-Pune (after 3rd service) - managed to get 19+ kmpl :thumbs up during the same stretch (Pune to Navi Mumbai).

What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?-xuv700_mileage2.jpeg

The overall fuel economy of return trip showed 16.5 kmpl.

My Airavat (Tata punch (2022)) has given me a max of 26.5kmpl in a 70kms highway run. It was very early morning. Around 4 am, so no city traffic to stop for either. AC on for the whole trip.
The worst it gave was 10kmpl from Omkareshwar to Indore. Uphill, dead slow traffic going as far to be stuck for 4 hours in the same spot. No AC too.

All consumption calculated by tank-to-tank method

Would you please consider giving private tuitions for some of us or atleast online classes :)
On a more serious note, this is amazing. Some more info into how you achieved it ? Driving style, Road conditions etc would help as well.

Ignis AMT ,in a recent highway and downhills

Back from a 800 km drive to Kasaragod and back. Went via Hassan - Sakaleshpura - Bisle - Subramanya - Jasloor - Mulleria - Kasaragod and returned via Sullia - Madikeri - Mysore - Bangalore.

My 2005 model Esteem returned a mileage of 16.5 kmpl in my onward drive and 15.6 kmpl while returning with 100% AC, 2 adults. Car was driven within 100 kmph max and always stood at 80 - 100 kmph while on a highway.

I'm a newbie here, turned 18 last December. My family owned a ciaz before, and we just bought the new kia carens luxury plus 7 DCT this May. Will make an ownership thread in a while. I have always loved to try to extract the highest mileage possible. In the ciaz, I have managed to extract 35kmpl ( it was a 1.3l diesel alpha 2017), verified by tank to tank (cuz it showed a max of 30 in the mid). In the Carens I have managed to extract 31.7, though i only took the pic of 30.2

The 31.5 was extracted from hosur to krishnagiri and there was medium traffic with 3 trucks in three lanes at times!!!
Since I have traveled quite a bit after that, i don't remember much details.

I traveled from Bangalore to Chennai yesterday at about 6.30pm ( reached at 1:37 am). There was heavy traffic and it was difficult to keep up the ideal speed. I could extract 25 kmpl on the highway including bangalore's city traffic and excluding chennai's traffic and diversions en route ( about 20 kms). I forgot to click the pic of the MID at the end of journey

This route also includes about 20 diversions which start from Vellore to Kanchipuram, hence the mileage dropped to 22 kmpl (don't have the pic of that)

Finally with Chennai's traffic and all the hassles from Kanchipuram, I could extract a final mileage 21.1 kmpl (with about 40 kms of city) We were 3 people and a husky with overloaded luggage. AC was on 100 % of the time. :Cheering:

Only In the interest of full disclosure to all readers: The unusually high fuel economy number lies on the topography: while going from Pune to Mumbai, there is a good 10-15 km downward ghat section, where it's easy to get that kind of mileage. I have seen indicated numbers of 30KMPL in my 2021 diesel manual Creta on that section.
