Tata Safari Dicor(2010) Diesel, a/c on all the time, tankfull method.

City: 10.5 km/l irrespective of how I drive.
Highway: 13.5 km/l with 3 occupants rear ac off. 12.5 km/l with 5 occupants and four days tourist luggage, rear ac on.

What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?-img_20220330_211308.jpg

The above includes 50km in Mumbai traffic. Speeds were held between 100-120 and also includes AC running in a stationary (driver habits).

In city 11.5 - 12KMPL.

Honda Jazz VX CVT numbers

Distance from last tankful: 377.5kms(100% in-city)
MID: 11.6kmpl
Fuel till auto-cut: 34.15 litres
T2T calculation :11.05kmpl

So an error of 0.55kmpl

With traffic back in full swing, thanks to opening of offices (although in hybrid mode) in-city mileage figure is back to pre-covid numbers. Good thing is finally the car’s getting some running after sitting idle for 2 years(WFH). Last time I filled in Mar-2022, it was 100.58/litre. Today tanked up at 111.07/litre ay HPCL. That’s a sharp increase in 1 month. :)

Innova crysta 2.4 VX manual. Managed 20kmpl over 80km, this was from Faridabad to Meerut. For the total return trip from Faridabad to Haridwar, managed a fuel efficiency of 17.5 which included some idling as well as in city driving.

Hello,

Let me include the older cars I had and also the current car.
This is all in Bangalore Traffic at its respective ages. Highways are all in South India

Esteem LXI (2007 to 2009, 2003 model)
City - 10
Highway - 17 (with top speed)

Ford Ikon 1.4 TDCI (2009 to 2017)
City - 14 (even with aggressive driving, AC)
Highway - 17 with AC at 130kmph with 4 members and luggage,
Highway - 25 without AC at 80kmph with driver only

Ford Figo (2017 to PRESENT, 2013 model)
City - 13 (even with normal driving, AC)
Highway - 17 with AC, 4 members and full luggage at 110kmph
Highway - 21 with AC, 2 members, less luggage and 100kmph

Even though Ford IKON TDCI and Ford Figo Duratoq Titanium 1.4 has the same engine, the Ford Ikon had better mileage and acceleration. in short, it was more fun. Figo's power delivery is a bit linear.

Probably the highest consumption in this thread.

I always shift high in the rev band but only recently started driving/riding in a sedate manner.

2009 Wagon R - 14 kmpl
2012 Pulsar 220 - 35 kmpl
2014 Rapid TDI - 16 kmpl Usually but recently achieved 21 kmpl with sedate driving.
2017 Dominar 400 - 22 or 23 Kmpl (not sure how everyone is getting 28 to 30 kmpl)

Honda ZX CVT 5th Gen -
21 km/L highway; with A/C
13 km/L city; with A/C

Skoda Yeti Elegance 4x4
25 km/L highway
15 km/L city

BMW 3GT
25 km/L highway
13 km/L city

Car: 2018 Suzuki S-Cross

After multiple attempts at achieving the 4-digits in a full tank. It finally happened yesterday.

What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?-img_1545.jpg

The previous attempt I came really close, was in Feb 2021, when I managed 994 in a tank full. I was in slightly unfamilar ground, where I did not have a better pump than the Sengurichi BPCL COCO. This attempt did affirm the range after low fuel warning. Low fuel warning came at 920 km.

This time, the low fuel did not popup till I left for service at 980 km. Was confident enough to breeze past 1000 and fill at my neighborhood COCO.

Fiat Linea Tjet :
11.7 kms/lit almost all the time.
Max. could get 13 kms/lit.
Ac always at 22 / 23 degrees.

Nano Twist

Max. could get 18 kms/lit on rare short highway runs
Ac always at 22 / 23 degrees

Our running is really low , and mostly has gone only on outstation trips on the Delhi to Dehradhun Highway where we got the FE of 12.6 Kmpl ( We were constantly cruising at 110+ speeds ) .

In peak Delhi traffic we got the worst FE of 6.5 on Normal petrol ( bumper to bumper traffic ) . The AC was on full blast the whole time . The FE did drop when we stopped moving due to the heavy traffic and it dropped to about 6 Kmpl , but as we started moving the FE again touched the 6.5 Kmpl and reached 7 Kmpl .

So , expect about 6 - 7 Kmpl in bumper to bumper delhi traffic with 91 Octane petrol .

I hope i was of help:D
