JKdas, Its selling very well. The low units are due to manufacturing constraints.

But on the other hand, you maybe right. I saw an ad today in the paper advertising spark for a cash discount.

Thats good move by GM, I feel they learnt in India aggressive and well executed business will fetch good profits. With new plant starting soon I will fele they are creating good hype by advertising their products now itself so it will reach all corners of country, once their new plant started they can sell their cars like hot cakes If they build good reputation now.

Every one knows 2 years down the line India will be in big boom because of many major projects are being done soon in major cities.

All the best GM! Pray GOD to give big success for India to get international recognition like developed countries!

Only worry factor is why Optra Magnum Diesel is still not approved, thats funny.

Regards,

Ravi.

Promise is a good move by GM India. It'll certainly attract many towards their showrooms.

I don't know about other parts, but Magnums are many here. Most of them registered.

They have kept 13,000 rupees as maintenance cost for spark.

It doesn't make sense to me. Looks like a mere marketing gimmick.

When you buy the car it comes with a 3yrs 1,00,000kms warranty. The first 3 services i.e. first one year will be free service. The next 2 years will be paid service. So every 6 months means 4 paid services over 2 years.

Again for these 4 services, most of the parts will be replaced under the 3 yr warranty. So for 4 paid services I don't see the amount crossing Rs.12,999.

The dealers were selling the "refreshed" Aveo for quite some time now. This is just the official announcement of the same.
A few Team-BHP members (Kamy240?) already bought the refreshed Aveo.
Thats right. Myself, Kamy and many others have the refreshed model already. GM were "unofficially" delivering these models upon request. The dealers were always pushing the old models to clear old stock.

I dont think GM changed the pricing. What I feel is they might cut down on the huge discounts they are giving now due to the new promises and "resfreshments".

I knew this long back please refer my Aveo purchase thread.
Well guys just for our understanding the numbers in promise ads given is well researched and analysed it is in such a way that company and customer both are in benefits.

New Aveo infact was designed a long back near to Jan start but dealers opposed it becoz they were holding a good amount of Aveo Stock in yards hence this delay else this was supposed to be launched in Feb end.

Now diesal variants, GM is coming on this too big time. Aveo and UVA both optra was start. Discounts are going decrease now infact already started for new Aveo.

The old Optra is now Optra Magnum.

Diesel variants are:

Optra Magnum Max
Optra Magnum 2.0 LS
Optra Magnum 2.0 LT

Petrol variants:

Optra Magnum 1.6 LS
Optra Magnum 1.6 LT

Isn't the price tag lower than before? GM, you need a diesel badly to help sales!

Guess GM is dead serious on the Indian market, as they have shown with the products like Magnum, Spark etc!

Chevrolet promise

Again a good move considering the general belief that GM cars are expensive to maintain.
hey guys, dont you think the new improved aveo( if really improved) with all the above is a good option at that price.
i mean if we compare the top model, the aveo 1.6 LT for 6.8 lacs with great build quality, looks, features and interiors with the maruti SX4 vxi.

if we also add the option pack which includes ABS,dual airbags..etc for another 40 grands. we might also get some dealer discount.

please suggest.??
