if that's a breadbox,in my humble opinion thats one hell of a classy one.maybe a breadbox from the ritz or the waldorf.
doesn't look bad at all.neat lines and curvy too.

That's the first thing that struck me too. I wonder which came first. I honestly had not heard about the 'R' series till I saw it last week and by coincidence chanced on this thread. As of now, I think it is a super vehicle.

The R class has been there for a while my friend and you mention that fiat linea is only a proposal. How then can the R class look similar to a future vehicle?

I wouldn't call the R-class as stylish or trend-setting. Doesn't seem to be as popular as the other Mercs.
Seems more like a redesigned Chrysler Pacifica.

Well there has been a controversy in the European press recently, with regards to the sales figures of the R-Class as Mercedes has been wary of giving out individual sales figures with regards to the R-Class.

Apparently it is now acknowledged to be a failure in the world market.

hi there amatmo, how was goa, i hope you had fun.
mercedes wont leave loose ends i am sure as far as the marketing of the car goes. u would see something good comming out of it for sure. the Rclass is a new baby so give her time to grow. some people are still ignorant about the car. so it would take time but they will get there.
