you are correct..I also chenged my baleno tyres to 185/65 R 14 with alloys and Goodyear Eagle (I guess NCT 5) tyres...and the road noise is almost not existent inside the car even on rough surfaces or cemented roads

Ikon is pretty unrefined in terms of ride or rough rode noise insulation..the handling is really superb...Baleno offers better performance in general and better ride.

Hey all ,

The Cheetah Mobile is also a black baleno these days (got it modified for the Rally Desert Storm ), and i can say this now , its the best car on indian roads on what price Maruti is selling it these days , I read some where down the thread where Revvmaster was explaning the choice between LXI and VXI , i am totally with him on that one " LXI " all the way .

The stuff what you dont get in the LXI and is there in the VXI , can be put and infact better things can put on the car with the money that you save in the price difference ...

Close your eyes and get the baleno LXI if you are looking for a mid segment car , and slightly off the topic , if you are looking for a diesel car then the Hundai Axcent CRDI is a must , also a good buy ( but then diesel )

so chuck it ,, get the baleno who ever is going to buy one ......

i get a regular average of 12-13 kms on my baleno.. now running 5000+ kms on the odo...

i used to get 11-12 in city with a/c and around 17 on the highway...

I get between 10 and 11 with 100% AC - Used to get over 11 before, but now my office is on Airport Road!

thou i know hez in the same city as mine, Hyderabad.

he says he does use AC , but i dont know if its always on or 50%...
